Wander wherever the ride takes you with Michelin’s new Anakee Adventure tires. They’re tough all-rounders with an 80/20 focus for pleasant road miles and enough offroad prowess to keep you out of trouble when adventure strikes. The Anakee Adventure tires utilize Michelin’s 2CT and 2CT+ compound for powerful grip in both wet and dry conditions. A range of sizes ensure fitment on most of today’s popular ADV machines, including the BMW R1200GS.

These came as standard on my 1250 GS HP. On road, they have proven fine, including in low traction, uphill twisties. On road, I was pleasantly surprised to see how well they managed deep gravel, packed dirt, and even lose rock. I am still to try them in mud. No noise issues to report. All in all, I’m a happy camper. No idea about how long they will last, though.

I have these tires on my 850 GS, tried it in wet mud yesterday and there's pretty much no traction to speak of. Had to waddle my way through the mud not to fall. And then straight to the closest water hose to wash off the bike 😄 But in every other aspect I've found these tires to be extremely capable. My 850 GS even runs more fuel efficient on pavement with Anakee Adventure in comparison with the Anakee 3 which I think is crazy! Also keep in mind, I'm talking about riding in mud or probably snow. Riding off road on a dry and sunny day is 👌

I have them on a GS 1250. Never have I been more surprised by a tyre. I was dubious at the start, but after 11'000 km, the most I've ever done with a tyre, I love them and will be getting new ones when these are finished. Great all around.

I dont think theres a better on/offroad 17" tire than this. They are one of the few dual compound dual sport tires. I run these on a supermoto which is ridden on a kart track weekly but also is ridden in extremely rough offroad conditions. Steep rocky, deep sand, dirt and gravel these tires do well. They dont do good in mud but that is impossible for a non-nobby tire.

These tires came stock on my 2019 GSA 1250 and they provide fantastic grip on the road (I bought the bike to tour, not really hit dirt but in N. Ga where I live and ride, it WILL happen just because sometimes a dirt road is the best option). I’ll most likely replace them with Anakee Adventures. Let me preface this by saying, I’m a very aggressive street rider when I get in the twisties and these have been great for grip HOWEVER, at 2,600 miles on them, I seriously doubt the front tire will make it to or much past 5,000 miles. The rear seems to be holding up better on the sides although it has flattened out a bit in the center (all that 1,250 cc torque!).

Scott Bott my rear will outlast my front by at least 1k miles although it’s wearing faster in the middle than the sides. Great tire and don’t have any complaints. A buddy that isn’t quite as aggressive as I am has over 4K miles on his and he’s easily got another 1,000 to 1,500 miles. Won’t make 6k though.

How would you guys rate these tyres compared to Bridgestone battlax adventure a40? I have 2021 V-Strom 650, the original Bridgestones have seen their best days. I have nothing bad to say about the Bridgestones, pretty nice grip on tarmac, dry or wet, and mileage i think is ok also on them. I think one can't turn heavy adventure bike to a motocross bike with any tire, but the occasional light offroad riding capability is important feature to me. Gravel is'nt the best road type for those Battlax's. 😕

These came stock on my 2020 1250GS. I'm mostly on asphalt. The only problem I have with them is the howling when in any kind of lean above 45+ mph. On long trips it's seriously an issue and drives me mad...and it's frankly surprising that they have this issue considering how well made and reputable they are.

Check out our full first ride report on them. This did not provide any actual information about this tire from a first hand experience. Good reviews would provide some perspective of having used the product. Consistently RevZilla does not do this. What I can say is that this tire is extremely loud on the road. It's noticeably louder than any other tire I've used and if I had the choice I would replace with another tire immediately. Not sure why our "reviewers" at RevZilla never mention any first hand experience with these products.
