Ottima esecuzione!
A fun piece indeed ! Encore !
BEAUTIFIL!
Beautiful ! Thanks for posting :)
Some opera ensembles with instruments instead of singers. Very funny piece, which reminds me to some of Rossinis later works.
A rather fun piece by 'daddy'.
What was the painting about ? A serious one !
In some ways an awful piece. But, heck, at least there was music in the Puccini blood to prepare the way for greatness. Giacomo must hardly have known him because his father died when he was just a child. There are other examples of this and the two that come to my mind are Leopold Mozart and Johann Strauss the elder. The difference is that the famous sons knew their fathers very well. Still, it's just a lucky miracle when a Giacomo, a Wolfgang and a Johann the younger come along. The Bach family is so full of first class composers that one hardly knows where to begin - so I won't.

Agree. Honestly a worthless, unnecessarily long, tedious piece that sometimes tries to imitate Rossini but without any touch of inspiration. No one would care about this piece if not because it has been composed by Giacomo Puccini's father. I'm always looking for forgotten music and often YT offers myriads of unsung masterpieces. This one can peacefully rest into obscurity. Giacomo got certainly better inspired elsewhere....
