I guess I need to say this here too. If you like this line, I'm happy for you! I'm aware everyone has different tastes and styles. Some of you could come into my home and hate my decor and that's fine, I decorate for myself and not other people. No one is "freaking out" over this line. We are just sharing our thoughts and opinions. I still took the time to record this video because I know other people will like it, but I still gave my opinion because we are all allowed to have one. Most of you have been sweet in the comments with telling me you like this line and I appreciate that and I love that you love it because that's what matters most. No one can or should stop you from loving what you love because they said they didn't like it. If we were all the same, it would be quite boring. Please don't take my opinion to heart. It’s not something I would personally buy but I think it’s cute. I think kids/teenagers/young adults will like it or someone who likes to do a spooky summer vibe. Personally I like that they did something different and are trying to appeal to those who maybe don’t like Halloween.

I really don’t get the disco and I don’t care for it at all either. A few of the Hippie Hollow items could have been so cute if they had just stuck to more traditional Halloween colors, but then I guess it wouldn’t be too hippie, lol.

LOL I recently saw these items on another channel and seriously was like WT....?? I showed my granddaughter this line and asked if she wanted me to get them for her room in my home, she basically said "NO Nana, Halloween is supposed to be spooky!" So even my 10 yr old granddaughter knows Halloween is for spookyness and NOT cuteness haha I do have some thoughts on why this is happening, but I'll share them in a little rant on next Sunday's vid. I do however appreciate how much time you spent filming this stuff, I'm sure it was painstaking work LOL

I loved the little ceramic ghostie guys The plain ghost pillow, purple eyes pillow, and the lavender spiderweb plate, but most everything in the hippie line was a serious pass. 👻

I'm with you on pink, pastel colors for Halloween. Even if you are a Valloween decorator, it's too in your face. It's almost as if Dunkin Donuts, with its signature pink and orange, decided to do a Halloween line. The flowers are so pop art 70s.

Some of it is cute…but pink is not Halloween. I only do limited scary Halloween but this doesn’t hit the mark for mild Halloween. Maybe for 6-14 year old children. Or if you’re into the Brady bunch.

It's almost as if Michaels wants to chase their customers away from the store. As if 1970's Decor and Disco Balls weren't bad enough the first time around, they try and foist them on us again. In February will they offer Valentines Day decor in black and orange? It's tough to determine which aspect of their "Halloween" items is worse -- the colors, the 1970's theme, or the fact that so many of the items are just plain ugly and cheap-looking.

When i think of Halloween and hippie, Scooby Doo comes to mind. This disaster is Disco Barbie.

That Hippie Hallow line is god awful, as was the pastel line they had last year. I could see some of this stuff being used for those that decorate for springoween or for a tweens bedroom but never Halloween. Never Halloween! It's goes against all that is perfect and right about spooky season. This is what happens when corporate tries to be "hip".

I love these. I saw a bunch of people on twitter excited about these too. It's something different for Halloween and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure most other stores are doing usual halloween decor so it's not like anyone is missing out.

I do like some color, however, I did not like this year's Hippie line. Last year, they also did a pastel/pink & purple line and I like that one a lot of more. Last year, I did a Barbie at the Haunted Mansion theme, so the colors were great for that. I'm really not a hippie person & orange isn't really my color, so that's probably why I don't care about this year's line as much.

I never saw the pastel last year. My store must have put it in the back and I didn't go searching for it lol. But I really wouldn't mind some of these pieces of they added some black, but that's just my personal preference lol. It's interesting to hear how everyone decorates though. I've never heard of anyone doing a barbie at the haunted mansion theme. Interesting!

I believe the Boulet Brothers jokingly this style boo-thie. They noticed it a little last year and were talking about it in their podcast. Also side note can we bring back old school Halloween what I mean by that is by bringing back little devil images. I completely didn't notice that wasn't a thing anymore until I went I went to a thrift and bought a Halloween light that had a little devil on it and I realized I haven't seen that style since I was a kid early 90s.

I honestly didn't even see the pastel Halloween line last year. My store either didn't set it out or it was on the back and I didn't go looking for it lol.

Also The Disco Bat was cool admittedly I like Disco Balls around my house I have them in all shapes I will be buying that the disco Skull and possibly the Disco ball pumpkin but the rest can burn lol

I don't have a problem with the disco balls, it just to me, is an odd "Halloween" item. I can see it working for this line, but other stores have set them out too. Like JoAnns and Marshalls.

The hippie Halloween is everywhere this year. It's a big theme. I prefer the more traditional Halloween pieces. Those ombre pumpkins are cute tho

Yeah, I've seen so much cutesy stuff this year. I've gone into Michael's a few times since I posted this video and most of this stuff is still on the shelves.

Controversial opinion, I really like ALL styles of Halloween decor 😂 so I like some of this for “summerween” vibes like skeletons doing summer activities are fun to me. But I’m both a Halloween AND Christmas person 😅

This is where my head was at. Like if I want to do Halloween all year and keep it feeling seasonally fresh, a little pastels here and there for summer would be cool. I don't love all of the pieces but I do like the soft pink on some of them. But I like the creepy cute aesthetic so that's notable, some people don't like combining them. I love the traditional Halloween, that's me 90% of the time but I do love a softer moment too.

yay, 'STAY GROOVY' sign. that at least fits the hippie Halloween scene.

Three more traditional lines are coming around the 26th CALM DOWN EVERYONE this is for more pastel goths and happy people that still want to celebrate Halloween, I can admit if this was all their Halloween stuff I would have been so mad but I snooped around their website and all our good stuff is coming they are releasing in waves :)

I do think this line will appeal to some people, but I think for most Halloween lovers/people who decorate spooky all year it won't.

I think hippie Halloween could work really well with Scooby doo decor…. Teen… heck I even kinda like it for my cubicle at work.

I imagine some ghouls out there like it, but they've got to be a small minority. Some of the orange items on their own could still work great mixed into people's traditional collections. Plus some ghouls are really into pink for Halloween so I can see a few pieces working for them. Overall I expect a lot of it to sit and not sell well. Thanks for showing all the various ornaments, it was helpful. I think I am picking up the cats for a branchy tree, that gorgeous giant jack 'o lantern to place on a stand, and the iridescent clear ones for my cauldrons!

Sadly Michaels is not what it used to be . I used to love going there for Halloween decor , but the past two years have been a disappointment and the prices of things at Michaels have gone way up and I am not feeling it . Growing up in both the disco and hippie era's, they're different things. Disco is not hippie. Hippies didn't have mirror balls. We did have black lights and black light posters though.

Lots of people do Pinkoween or Pasteloween so I do think there will be an audience for this. I love Flower Power (I am 61 and it reminds me of The Patridge Family and Brady Bunch which I loved). However, I am Traditional-- 🧡🖤🤍 for Halloween. ❤🤍💚 for Christmas. Pastels are for Easter-- which I also love. I also think baby/child skeletons are creepy in a not good way. I just can't picture them as cute.
