It just never felt like The Office after he left. Many knew months in advance that Carell was leaving the show, and personally I think they should’ve just ended the series but I heard from a lot of people “no it’ll be fine, Jim and Pam will carry the show for another 3 or 4 seasons, they’re the focus anyway” and I just knew that wasn’t gonna happen, most of the intrigue in Jim and Pam went away when they got married. I knew the show was in for a steep decline, and we didn’t even get another 3 or 4 seasons, we got one pretty crappy one that had its moments, and the abomination that was season 9.

@@rbriggs89 it did for me 😂 in fact I fast forwarded to the last episode after that to see if they were gonna do the same with the next girl and upon realizing that they did, I never went back to watching the other half of the show even though I was interested in their chemistry. I felt like it was pointless if he never ends up with anyone. At least Frasier wasn't so heavily focused on dating as cheers was. Frasier wanted love too and they kinda did a cop out at the end as well but at least Frasier wasn't wholly based on the idea of ending up with someone. Cheers kinda was and if you're going to build us up and then not end up together anyway it kinda ruins the whole experience for me. It's like watching a marriage that ends up in a divorce.

Jim’s head signal at 14:16 means so much. Michael is Jim’s boss but he was always Michael’s assurance. He controls him whenever Michael gets crazy or says something out of line, or makes hard decisions. That head turn provides just that, an assurance to Michael that it’s okay, I approve, you’ve made the right decision, we’ll be fine. Michael nods a bit right after, signaling that he knows he is assured, and a thank you.

Same!!! Weirdly enough I rarely watch tv shows and I’m not a fan of comedy. So I stumbled upon videos making fun of kelly and decided to check it out during spring break. I fell in love with the show and eventually found the Office ladies podcast. I had to take a summer class and didn’t realize until almost the end of the course we had to do a 5 page analysis on a show that took place in a work environment. Of course I wrote my paper about the office, I was able to use very exact moments of the show to proof my points and I even used quotes from the podcast coming from Jenna Fisher and Angela Kingsley. I also found a kitten which I decided to name Bandit. I got an A in my paper btw. Anyways, as much as the pandemic sucks I’m happy I stumbled upon this show, it is so great, full of wonderful jokes and brilliant writing. I owe so many laughs to this show, my A, and even my cat, as I truly would have not decided to keep it if it wasn’t for Angela and her love for cats.

I think the reason why Creed's final line hits so hard to so many people is because he is a constant unchanging part of the office, and the show in general. Almost everyone in the show changes throughout the series as a character, and even the content of the show itself. However, Creed always remain the same as that weirdo, just like we saw him in the very beginning of the series. Like a time capsule. He plays a very small part, even for a side character. But it is in these characteristics that make him an important part of Dunder Mifflin. The show changes, but in essence, it will always be the thing that is so endearing. So, when Creed says that final line, it is like the spirit of the show waving him goodbye. Like a symbolic version of Jim's "see you at lunch tomorrow".

Okay I don't know why but Creed's goodbye, of all people, saying "See you tomorrow, boss" touched me the most. Maybe it was his cluelessness to the real depth of Michael's departure. Maybe it was the implication that Michael's presence was just so ingrained in that office. Maybe it was the fact that someone like Creed who knows nothing at all or everything random ackowledged Michael as the one constant. If I said "See you tomorrow" to someone that was important either to me or many people and then found out I wouldn't see them again I would be devastated.
