30.11.1983. i was 16! My parents gave me a Ticket for the Iron Maiden Gig in Munich! The opening Act was a Band called MSG! I Never heard about this „funny“ band name. I though they only could be boring. MSG opened with into the Arena. The Rest is history. A few days after MSG i bought my first guitar. Michael is my Hero since this day!

​@@walterevans2118There weren't MS signatures made by gibson. Either a Rudolf schenker model, or a repainted v, or a japan copy (aria/burny/greco/edwards).

@@johnnydio5803 Appears to be a stock reissue along with the '79 Kirk Hammet... the 70's reissue however has the longer '67 V headstock when it should have the shorter '75-'80 Flying V headstock. Don't know why Gibson would have done this... perhaps to distinguish actual 70's Flying V's with these reissues who knows. Never liked seeing Michael playing a Dean.

Was first exposed to Schenker at an Aerosmith concert in 1979, where UFO was the opener. Michael, all by himself, completely blew everybody off the stage that night. Been huge fan ever since. Just an absolute monster player. Love you, Michael. Thank you so much for all the great music!

I first listened to "into the arena" in 1984. I was 16. MS is old man, i become a middle aged man! His music is still brilliant n permanent even if me n he are getting older!!

This guy is still amazing like a vintage wine👍👍

Doctor doctor is still one of my all time favouritesrock classics from an absolutely golden era of guitar music....this song still sounds as great as it did the first time that I heard it..... magical.

no tuning issues everything rock solid and i can tell he is reinspired by that guitar -they all look very jubilant

Michael is the greatest electric guitarist alive and only EVH could ever match Michael in terms of sheer virtuosity, songwriting, phrasing, tone and being an icon. They both were/are the total package.

Michael finally gets his hands on a Gibson Flying Vee and the world sounds great again!!!!

I never thought I would see the master with a Gibson again. I am very happy. Wonderful. Like a trip back to the 80s. Thanks Geoff for this great video with the great sound!!!

This is great! Nice to see he's still going strong! I remember watching UFO for the first time on TV, the Don Kirchner's Rock Concert. They did the song "Give Her the Gun" and the song blew me away. That's when I got hooked on UFO. It's nice to see he's playing a Flying V again. Thank you for posting this.

Reading some of the other comments on these videos, sounds like Dean lost the lawsuit to Gibson and they aren't producing Flying V's any more.

Thanks Viper. I do my research and most of the times when I’ve seen him perform I know he prefers this part of the stage …. So I was in right at the start and headed right for this spot. I wanted to be able to get good closeups of his playing 😊

When Robin is on vocals, the band becomes a masterpiece. Robin is the best.

MSG went straight to Norway as soon as Pandemic ended early 2022. I were there and it were awesome for 2 hours. Robin were on vocals back then too.

Happy holidays! Thanks!! I used to be a professional photographer , so a lot of this I’m used to doing …. I’m also a guitarist so I knew I needed to get on Michael’s side of the stage. In the first 3 songs I had real problems with 2 pro-togs constantly dodging & ducking right in front of me so I did my best to screen them out by zooming in closer lol. For me I haven’t properly enjoyed a gig if I don’t have videos that I can look back on and watch again and again!

I never did like the Dean sound. Great move Michael 👏

I’m glad he’s playing a Gibson V. I don’t care for the Dean split V headstock. 🎸🤘🏼👍

I remember seeing MSG decades ago more than once at Newcastle City Hall. The keyboard player spat at the bass player and rumour had it a guitar player was behind the backdrop playing some of the lead sections. All in all good stuff

There’s no question there was a rhythm guitarist off stage on the tour where Barden had just replaced Bonnet, you could clearly hear it at the gigs I went to m, most noticeably in Attack of the Mad Axeman. We never saw it as some sort of scandal though, there are just some songs that can’t be reproduced with one guitar and Raymondo who had just left, played them before. It was reputedly Michael’s guitar tech.

マイケルが健康そうで素晴らしい眺め。80年代の彼は繊細で気難しくもあってあまり幸せそうに見えなかった。84年の来日とか酷かったし 半年ごとにメンバーを追い出してるような状態だった。大人気だったのに、ルドルフやスコピオンズみたいに安定した活動が出来ないせいで シーンから消えかけてしまい ギターの個人指導して食べてた時期もある。

Michael is the original Guitar Hero!

The modern Gibson Flying V with the routed body ala fender strat is the best strat fender never made. Change pup’s to p90’s and add a Bigsby and it’s the best tele fender never made.
