15:45! I’ve watched as much Saylor as I can find and don’t think I’ve heard this question yet. Great question and great answer. Maybe the one time I saw Saylor have to truly think and prepare his response because it was a bit more left field than the general interview.

Why would BTC be classified a commodity and LTC not be?

THE GOAT!

People accuse Saylor of using his intellect to PUMP BTC but they fail to realize he used his intellect to BUY bitcoin. His amount of wealth secured him a life of luxury without taking any risks. The risk he's taking with BTC is possible financial/reputational martyrdom to advance individual property rights and preserve its global value.

I'm cautious in considering any Bitcoiner my hero but Saylor is obviously on another level.

I wonder what artwork Saylor has framed in the background?

BTC is sound money. Few people understand sound money today. With good reason because the USD isn’t sound money. It is fiat. Our entire system is based on a fiat system that monetizes debt. There is nothing backing the dollar except the money printer. Money is the “ lifeblood” of an economy. An economy is the key determinant for the type of society that will exist and how it survives.

Bitcoin is based on fiat, it's indexed to USD, and bitcoin is backed by Tether (digital money printer).. BTC is several derivatives removed from sound money.

@@mantexas9033 Prices in the US are based on USD which is fiat and is created by the money printer that never stops printing. How people acquire BTC can range from peer to peer trading to converting fiat or crypto to BTC. What backs BTC is its usefulness and PoW blockchain network. Tether is backed by BTC and BTC’s network effect. How tether manages its token is their own success or failure. Do meltdowns in stable coins affect the price of BTC, yes. But only in the short term.

The latest crypto bill is catered to HBAR. That’s the only crypto that has a legitimate roadmap from going centralized to decentralized over time. Just be aware, please. There is clearly a winner in the non-commodity, non-property crypto asset space. Will be yet a while before the crypto space makes us perpetual millionaires. Maybe 5-10 years for the winners in the space.

It's good advice. Take out a 30 year loan for 3-4%. Buy and hold an asset that averages 150% ROI.
