    I was able to save a lot of money in 3 years. I landed a 3 year consulting gig paying over $100K a year. I reside in the mid-west where there is a lower cost of living. I lived with my Mother ( I paid her rent). During this time I also paid off my $15K student loans and $18K Jeep. Now I have zero debt, still making over $100K and able to focus on building wealth via investments,etc

    My wife and I are retiring this year with over $6,000,000 in tax deferred investments. up until 3 years ago we were 100% in the S&P. During bear markets we had a perfect plan. We got an investment manager in our corner and didn’t look at our portfolio for nearly a year. Just kept buying at low prices.

    Is it prudent to buy coins at this time? Despite frequent reports that the market is active, will the price of bitcoin continue to decline this year? When will cryptocurrencies reach their full recovery? To be quite honest, I don't know how other traders in this market are able to make more than they lose in a single year.

    There are many other POW coins with no central issuer. There are also forks of Bitcoin, some of which actually work a lot better. Bitcoin may be the most popular and powerful commodity, but there are plenty of others. Many have market caps in excess of a billion $, so you can't call them failures either. There are over a hundred POW coins with market caps exceeding a million $ too. While I wouldn't call them successes, you can't call them failures either. Also, some are targeting a particular niche that aren't focused on money or trade (for instance Primecoin).

    By LAEV... If we talk about mining Crypto currencies, my criteria is that mining companies should be regulated to work at times of low electricity consumption... make new blockchains that can only be to mine with energy with low electrical consumption and that is what I mean at night... this way, most likely, the miners will be better distributed throughout the world... by restricting the hours the cost per k/w is going to be very cheap and it is going to be possible to mine in countries where it is not possible to mine today... besides, I am one of those who think that each country should cover the power of confirmations in in relation to the volume of transfers made within each country... and this is only obtained by not allowing the use of vpn or other techniques related to the location of the networks

  • @ItIsJan

    @ItIsJan

    Жыл бұрын

    that is sadly not as simple as it sounds 1.) The issue with the energy consumption has essentially been solved by monero and others by utilizing a proof of stake instead of proof of work algorithm, which uses like 99% less energy.. 2.) You cant really proove that someone is from a certain area, at least not decentralized. If you want to "prevent" vpn's, you would have to have some list of ip adresses that are known to be vpns/proxies, which would have to be updated constantly, and so be centraliced (you can also use private vpns which arent known by vpn lists) 3.) even if you somehow implement that, this system would probaply be defeated by someone just 51%ing the blockchani whilst the least miners are active (=its night in some a few countries at the same time which dont have many miners n them) 4.) Centralizing bitcoin transactions per country kinda defeats the point of a decentralized currency and cant be implemented in the first place in my opinion, bitcoin is f**ed for the most part, because it cant hold the promises that it gives: - Miners are somewhat centralized due to big mining pools beeing a thing - The majority of bitcoins belong to a really small amount of people which is quite bad - whilst bitcoin adresses are quite a bit better than clear names, with a bit of work you can still kind of "identify" where a bitcoin adress is buying something from (defenetly not in every case, but it is possible) Most of these issues are solved by monero: -Its entirely anonymous with the usuage of stealth adresses (you dont have a static wallet adress, providing more anonimity) - amounts paid to wallets are also not readable (some magic which's underlying concept i still dont understand) - because its actually anonymous, its not listed on stupid exchanges and so, the ownage of monero coins is waaay more distributed instead of having a few holders with lots of it.

  • @byLAEV

    @byLAEV

    Жыл бұрын

    @@ItIsJan The critical point of monero is that although anonymity has been solved and how transfers are confirmed, the future of Crypto currencies lies in the political, family and territorial administration. The future of Crypto currencies lies in not being anonymous, the governments of the countries are not interested in anonymity and you know it... I'm going to prepare a more professional answer and then I'll send you the link so you can see my point of view... Because what you want is to avoid double cost, not be anonymous...

    You're thinking about this from the wrong direction. Bitcoin is just a financial tool. Eventually, only the richest and smartest will have it, and they will become increasingly more powerful politically and financially. Some day in the not so distant future, nobody is going to want to hold fiat when they can hold bitcoin instead. They will want the "best" commodity for the job: which is holding value, staying secure, and easy to liquidate.

    Whatever may be the view point on Bitcoin (and alt coin in general) in my humble opinion the bottom problem isn’t understanding or not the code/blockchain,nor the practical use of them, nor the adoption of them. More plainly is something way more rooted in humans: greed and fear. All mixed and well stirred with an extremely centralized devices productions, power grid, regulatory system and major institutions involved in the game. People debates over the “product” but do forget considering who own factory and tools. Just my two bits worth on the matter. Air is free and there to use for everybody, but if we are living in a AC room, air remains free, but the system decides all the rest. Cheers
