Nicole is one of the best Miss California has ever crowned. She truly represents what it is to be a great human being. Granted she's had great fortune but she's humble to the core and always grounded to the needs of those around her while being a nice role model for many women. Michael is very fortunate and I hope he continues to share his strategies for coping with MH matters since that inspires many others to more actively manage their own lives.

Unfortunately sponsors are not about fairness or being rational. It's about public image and what will make/lose them money. They seem to think being associated with a pot smoker is bad for their image. In my opinion it's stupid because in this day and age we know it's pretty harmless, but I think as pot becomes more and more accepted they'll come around.

I've never smoked marijuana in my life, not in any form. Nor do I ever want to. Grew up around stoners, and it didn't hold any appeal for me...

I would be more impressed if they had their relationship AFTER the Olympics. It tells me their fast moving relationship was designed to change Michael's image from drug user to responsible family man. If he's sincerely cleaned up...great. If this is just a media ploy to save his endorsements after taking hits due to drug use...very sad.

I think it's absolutely fair that he gets dropped by sponsors for smoking pot. Working class people can't get well paying factory gigs because they have been fired for smoking pot and come clean with it when they interview for new positions and still can't get hired! By the way, I know plenty of people who are still smoking pot even when the kids are being born! I hope the two of them get it together for Boomer's (horrible name!) sake.

Ah yes, because Marijuana consumption as recovery for elite athletes, is 100% far worse than Alcohol, right? Honestly woman, you reek of 1980's ignorance and Raegnist indoctrination. Your only legitimate point was perhaps the injustice regarding weed laws among all peoples, in regulated quantities at the right time weed should be able to have a place in any responsible adult's lives. And Like obviously, any psychoactive substance in vapor form typically isn't good for growing children, but I would trust a professional athlete and model (whose entire profession revolves around health and science) to understand the appropriate times to smoke up. And Boomer is a beautiful name, thank you very much.

He secretly got married before the baby and even if they didnt, he proposed before she was even pregnant.

Not knocking Michael and his wife here at all - but wow does the "having a kid is the best thing" narrative get tired sometimes. It's like the government wants you to have children to spawn the next generation the way they push it. I know enough people in their late 30's with children who wish they never had them to fill a bucket.

I'm guessing you don't have kids so you can't relate. You're acting like people say it just to say it. Yes it's said often, but maybe it's because it's very often true that having a kid is one of the best things about life. Someone you can raise, teach and love, and see them grow before your eyes. And even if we forget the sentimental bits for a moment, human beings are biologically disposed to reproduce. It's one of our fundamental purposes as a living species if you look at the science. It only makes sense we would feel good about it.
