For all those that are old enough to remember, Michael Pare also was in the late '70s-early '80s TV series 'The Greatest American Hero' starring William Katt, Connie Selleca, and Robert Culp, playing a student in teacher William Katt's class.

Man I would love to see a third movie for Eddie and The Cruisers, Tell you the truth I never get tired looking at this movie and listening to the tunes. Keep the storyline the same and be sure to bring back the Beaver Brown Band. Don't pull away from the sound, that includes Michael Pare. That dude actually had another musical movie that I also like a lot. That move is Streets of Fire.

Jim Poole I lived in the best era of rock ‘n’ roll music ever. All through the 1960s and 70s were the best years for rock ‘n’ roll, and I was glad to be a part of it. The crap they’re trying to push off as music today is embarrassing.

Ann additional note of correction here... the CD is actually titled "Eddie and the Cruisers : The Unreleased Tapes". It contains dialogue from both of the films, plus newer songs not included on the original soundtracks: ' A Fool and His Money', "NYC Song' (alternate version with dialogue), 'Just a Matter of Time' (instrumental version with dialogue), 'Heat of the Night', 'Sleep Walk', 'Chain Reaction', and 'Eddie's Confession' / 'When the World was Young'. An incredible companion CD to both movie originals!!!

Being from New Jersey myself I wanted to take a trip to Asbury Park to see where part of the movies were filmed. While I was there I went to the Stone Pony and I heard John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band rehearsing for a later show in which I attended. It was my 4th time seeing them, but the best part was when they played "Heat Of The Night" and "Maryia"

The classroom scene less than 10 minutes into the movie (Wordsworth) and the football toss in the parking lot immediately preceding the classroom were both filmed at Rancocas Valley in Mount Holly Burlington County. I wasn't in the scenes but I was a student at the school at the time of the production and I personally knew SOME of the students in the classroom (though I haven't seen most of them in more than 25 years). I can still tell you the names of at least 15 of them.

ISEE YOU Both films were box-office bombs, so I doubt Michael or Beaver Brown would want to do a third. In today's film culture, everyone involved would want financial guarantees, and Cafferty would have to write another ten songs or so for the soundtrack. Personally, I'd love to see it happen, but Michael's 55 now; he might be getting too old for it.

I've been watching both these films for over a year (as of December 2015), it's awesome to have this period interview with Michael Pare from 1989. Love his overview. What I would've liked to see if there had been a third installment of the franchise would've begun with the visceral reactions of the other surviving Cruisers. We already got the Sal Amato (Matthew Laurence) character's reaction, but what would Doc Robbins (Joe Panteliano), Kenny Hopkins (David Wilson), Frank "Wordman" Ridgeway (Tom Behringer) and Eddie's former fling, JoAnn Carlino (Helen Schreider) say or do in reaction to the news that "Eddie Lives"?

I still don't understand how majestically handsome, talented and super charismatic actor like him, was not given more roles??? This guy formed the image of a Man in so many you guys in the 80's, and right up there with Harrison Ford, Tom Selleck and others. Michael Paré played a formative presence in the lives of so many. Hollywood is always a disappointment.

I love the music by John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band and the fact that Eddie resurfaces in the second film while at the same time realizing that he IS good enough. It's too bad they couldn't have gotten more of the original cast for this film but at least they got Matthew Laurance as Sal. He was in the process of doing that play he mentioned in the above interview. So take the date of his birth and add thirty years... you'll at least get an idea of when the record was made. Dennis Snyder because they don’t have any more material. They used up all of John Cafferty‘s music on the first two Eddie movies. It would never be the same if they did the American tour.

I'm so sorry I just missed him about two weeks ago at the Chiller Con. He was practically in my backyard here in NJ. Maybe next time. :)

I actually got to read the script while they were making the second film and work on the music video and b-roll for the band and record company. This was my favorite film and sequel growing up. I would love a sequel but these days they would probably do a reboot instead of a sequel. Sort of a bummer. Though Eddie Wilson still lives for me.

Just saw the second movie after avoiding it for years. They handled it very well, despite ignoring a couple of the original characters (like Word Man and Eddie's gal, who I hope are married). Some people honestly believe Elvis is alive, and they may be right. Some things just aren't right about that death, but if he's alive, they ought to leave him alone. Still, if he'd be willing to play a bit part in an Eddie 3, how great would that be!

Worked a John Cafferty concert back in the early 90's he's a great sing but they should've brought Michael Pare with them. Wish they would come out with more music 🎶🎵
