Considering they are both old they might bring that dog out, as MVP is almost 40 and is ranked like 15th, he needs to go hard, and Wonderboy is already over 40 and needs to solidify himself as an all time great, and wants to show people he’s still dangerous in an old age.

This is why MVP needs to fight Wonderboy next. - Both coming off losses - Both getting on in age - Wonderboy needs a win and can't risk someone who's adept in offensive wrestling - MVP risks losing his ranking if he fights someone unranked next (usually how it goes after a top 10-15 has a loss) - Wonderboy is more of an aggressive striker than I think MVP appreciates (just look at the Shavkat fight), so I think it would be more interesting and not become an Izzy vs Romero fight. It would be more of a "who gets the strike first" type fight. This would be a great opener for the potential Conor card in December.

MVP is good but he needs to understand that he’s fighting at the highest level of mix martial arts right now. He can’t be making things pretty all the time and getting those one big hit KOs anymore. He needs to throw combinations and follow up big shots with follow up shots and small combinations. So many times he hit Gary and just stood there waiting to see the picture he painted. He did a lot of that in Bellator but he can’t be doing that in the UFC.

Cause MVP has no wrestling pedigree whatsoever and doesn't finish his victims when they're hurt 😅 Unfortunately, MVP should retire if he wants the belt cause he'll always have to deal with wrestling disadvantages like what happened with him and Garry when it comes to all the top 7 guys in WW. But he should stay if he just wants fun striking matches like against Wonderboy. That's a fun fight but that's really it just fun fights, not the belt in this era

@@ymkyourmoneyking8157Ew, I don't like Ian Garry you clown. I'm just stating why that hotel chair sitter won and where MVP goes from here realistically. I'm disappointed he didn't derail that hype train. Was a bad night for combat sports other than the main event It's disappointing Geoff didn't do Ian like how Geoff did Luque, would've been perfect sync of the Universe. And it's disappointing MVP loss and didn't beat Ian in embarrassing and spectacular fashion like I hoped. Shavkat has to, he's just supposed do that. But the fact that Ian is still here is annoying but I have to accept it. He shouldn't even be this far along but here we are I guess 😞

Did he even do anything with top position like his trainer does with Ms. Garry #1? Ian is the most boring "fighter" I've ever witness. And people say Belal is bad 😂 Ian had to wrestle for his life and didn't do anything with top control. MVP doninated him and put a striking clinic and had em hurt. But Ian needs to go to decision by wrestling his way to survival Even Geoff Neal had Ian hurt everytime he touched him. Look at the markings on Ian's face, princess. Dude makes every fight boring even with exciting fighters

MVP has been in the fight industry for a long time and garry isn't the first fighter to go for takedowns, what I saw in the fight was MVP absolutely clueless on the ground. Garry wasn't even that great at grappling. This isn't karate or kickboxing for points. Wake up call for MVP, UFC will find you out. Disagree with MVP, you win at all costs, a game plan is crucial! Not a garry fan, but massive props to him for adapting regardless, he got the W.

Garry quite literally tried to win through points with grappling and not through dishing damage or looking for any finishes. It was even worse to watch than a kickboxing bout. This wasn't a great take. MVP does need some semblance of takedown defense but Garry isn't doing the sport or UFC any favors with his risk-averse, boring style.

@@whydouwanttoknow1945 Nobody wants to pay to watch those guys fight. Without aggressive and risky styles, this sport would make the same revenue as amateur wrestling or BJJ. This is not his only boring fight either, the Neal fight was ass too. The rules enable him to fight like this so yeah good for him with the forgettable victories. His ground game is just to control with no effort towards finishing is the issue here. Being risk averse and safe definitely won’t get him the belt. I can’t remember the last time that worked against a decent champion.

You get paid in the sport to win fights and ignorant fans don't care about the fighters whatsoever they just want to see entertainment. Nobody that has half a brain that can grapple in MMA and is undefeated is going to risk fighting this guy and stand with him that's stupid. Guess what there are sports out there where there's no wrestling involved only striking I suggest he do that

MVP is too loyal to his team. If this didn’t show him that he needs a new coach (or at least wrestling coach) idk what will. Just off of his pure athleticism and IQ he could pretty quickly learn enough head/hips/hands defense, sprawls and wizards and some short offense and front headlock series to get by against probably everyone but maybe shavkat and Kamarus wrestling. Cuckchado and guys like him wouldn’t stand a chance.

He is not an MMA fighter and now Dana will give him only stand-up fighters that don't grapple to pay out what he's worth. Pathetic fight from both sides and he said he couldn't wait to go to the gym but what were you doing till now? UFC is in a very dark period. Can you imagine if there is no Alex Pereira?
