Smart hip hop artists know where to go for killer samples. Glad you enjoyed the original. Steely Dan is sampled like crazy and Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell. I was gonna recommend Bobby Caldwell “What You Won’t Do For Love” but looks like you found that gem.

"Black Cow" - Steely Dan Same thing...within 2 seconds you'll recognize the sample. Steely Dan a fav among the Old School hip-hop elite. De La, Tribe, Blackstar, The Roots. In fact there's a vid of Talib Kwali talking about Steely Dan. Hope you check them out.
