Michael Jordan Wearing the Air Jordan 5 Fire Red (3M) (Raw Highlights)

Спорт

Michael Jordan debuted the white/black-fire red Air Jordan V in the 3-Point contest during the 1990 NBA All Star Weekend, and wore them for the rest of the 1990 regular season. My commentary starts at 14:05.

    In a few of these clips he's so ridiculously fast down the court, his speed often gets overlooked, youngsters always think it's crazy to say he had 4.3 speed and you hear things like "LeBron is faster" lol btw I don't think you'll find a quicker 6'6 player, 13:29 is a perfect example of that insane quickness!

    @@essentialjordan23 people forget that Jordan's speed, fluidity of movement and general athleticism were otherworldly in the first half of his career. I actually think the repeated talk of the three-peats, and clutchness has reduced the sheer magnitude of MJs game (especially leading up to his first retirement) in the eyes of the uniformed. Jordan's game I think is actually underrated in today's NBA discussions.

    Man… I don’t know if anybody else notices or if I’m tripping, but before Phil Jackson it seem like Mike was always on 10. Like under Doug Collins they kept Michael turned to MAX. Then, Phil Jackson came into play and kept him at about 6 or 7 but he had times where he went to MAX. Because before Phil Jackson he was doing some crazy freak-like shit on court. LMFAO. It was like “WTF?? 😳 You seen what this nigga just did???”

  • @brianr5356

    @brianr5356

    3 жыл бұрын

    I think you're absolutely correct. Doug Collins was the type of coach that would let MJ do what he wanted on the court. The offense basically ran through Jordan and it was always Michael first then everyone else. Not saying that MJ was selfish but when you're the best player on the court everywhere he went, you kinda don't mind giving him the ball. Phil had to convince MJ to start sharing the ball so he doesn't carry the bulk of the scoring. Jordan felt like if he doesn't score the Bulls don't win. That was true up until that point. It still took them a couple of years to learn the new Triangle Offense and once Scottie and Horace grew more confident in their games, Micheal was more than willing to accept the help. The rest is history.

  • @TheBoyJenius

    @TheBoyJenius

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@brianr5356 exactly!! I just feel like he thought that he had to perform on that level or they would lose. Which... was kinda true. He was just always on MAX, my G. Even against teams where I feel he didn’t really have to, sub .500 teams and shit. Phil made everyone come alive around him and then I guess it’s like you said, pressure was taken off Mike. Not that I even think he minded it, lol, because Mike is gonna be Mike. I don’t even think he can help that. That’s just how he plays. He probably even gets off that shit. But it do feel like the... I don’t even know what to call it Brian... 🤔 electricity or volume? But, I do feel like the volume was dialed down to like a 6. But there were times were Phil turned the volume all the way up though. But Doug had the music blasting all the time. I mean, even at a disadvantage in transition, Brian, this guy… Shuffle step + crossover between the legs + fake spin + step back + pulls up = bucket. Crazy. And his defense was through the roof, A lack there of in today’s NBA. Phenomenal player. I don’t think we’ve ever seen anyone play like this before or after him. GOAT if I’m ever asked. I mean, Jesus...
