    Not just Michael Jordan is the GOAT, but it's like watching a artist painting a canvas on the court. When Michael play, everyone glue there eye on the court to see what amazing thing he would do and you're along for the ride. MIchael Jordan never had a off button. It was on every night and you get your money's worth.

  • @TheMassiveGamer

    @TheMassiveGamer

    @@evxp31711-9 is understandable, considering his squad at the time. Also, the Pippen narrative has been debunked for over an decade; Pippen wasn't an all star the year they first won. Also, if you go back and watch those previous series with Pippen before they won, it was Pippen and Jordan's supporting cast that choked when it mattered. Another thing, he had Pippen and '95...and lost (and this was Pippen still near his peak). That center position, I would argue, was WAY more important than Pippen on those teams, considering it was an era of All-time centers.

    By that second championship run he was just playing on an entirely higher level than the rest of the league. It's like watching a supreme artist at home in his craft. It almost looks too easy although we know he worked his tail off to get to and maintain that level. He always just seems a step, a move, a play ahead of the rest of the court. It's sort of odd watching it all play out -- like he had an instruction book that others just didn't have. I guess that's the essence of the point people make when they say that MJ's "basketball IQ" was just off the charts by the second 3peat run. It's beautiful to watch now, in retrospect and it was beautiful to watch then as a witness to that greatness. Long live the king.

    I'm very lucky to have watched MJ and the Bulls play LIVE TWICE back in the 90s when they came to Vancouver, BC Canada up against the Grizzles. First time I was thirty rows up lower section which cost me $90 at that time. Second time it was a dream come true. My high school coach had season tickets for NBA & NHL. He place his season tag over my head and around my neck and said, "I can watch any game but for you this is once in a lifetime." I was almost in tears. My coach ended up sitting in my seat in the nose bleed section all the way up while i sat about SIX ROWS behind the hoop. As I was in awe watching MJ doing his warm up his foul shots, lay ups and fade away. That moment for me nothing existed. It was just me and MJ. My eyes glued to him. Player from the Grizzles trash talked to MJ and MJ scored 19 points in the last 6 minutes to win the game. Ended up with 29. That was 1995-1996 regular season game I will never forget in my life November 30, 1995 Vancouver Grizzles vs Chicago Bulls. THANK YOU COACH!

    In June people will see the one and only TRUE GOAT. All you young bucks don't understand how great MJ was. This man would play golf all day drink beer and smoke cigars then later that night play basketball and dominate. That's how good he was. He never sat out to rest like today's pussy players do, he played as much as he could and was dominating through the age of 35. Even when he played for the Wizards he avg 20 points a game that was unheard of at his age. There will never be another MJ nobody comes close. Only people that grew up watching him will know who the greatest of all time was is and ever will be.

    This is the NBA I grew up with. Not the bunch of superfluous-overhyped-me-first sissies we have on court now. An elbow from the mailman would knock off the heads of KD, Harden (Artest's elbow was just a pat), etc. NBA on NBC was a treat for the family and for my buddies at the Sports Bar. When the comish David Stern decided to go Global so as to get more audience to buy NBA stuff, the quality we always were used to went south. So far, Mr Adam Silver hasn't done anything in his power to rectify this tremendous faux pas. I miss the real NBA ... RIP.

No showboating. No attention addicts. Just business and play and all the fame and fortune came with it. Things change I understand that. For it to change to what we have now is a dam travesty. 🤦🏽‍♂️😔

    @@tszkinleung5310 exactly. How many screens did MJ have to fight off chasing Reggie? And switches wasnt a thing back then. Dudes fought off screen while their arms were getting pulled. Slight ass bumps were not called, and let's not talk about the Indy's Davis Boys and Smits, and NY's Mason, Oakley and Ewing all waiting to smack you in the paint. We havent even touched elite perimeter hand checkers like Derek Harper, Payton and Dumars. Or elite shot blockers like Mutombo, Mourning and Admiral. The defense back then was just suffocating on any part of the floor.

    @jeraldvincentzumel5300

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@MrSkeleton131 @Warden Freeman perhaps. But you kinda need to put it into context. The handcheck rule gave offensive players more freedom to move around the court which resulted to more uncontested 3s and drives. This gave players like Curry and Harden more freedom to dance around in iso and do their thing. The 80s and 90s were a totally different jungle, the reason why the pace looked slower. Offensive players had to rely on actual fundamentals and strength to be able to put up a shot. Halfcourt sets were a necessity and you didnt usually see transition plays unless it came from a turnover. Players like Mike, Bird, McHale and Barkley among others really needed to work hard for their shots.
