No he did not, you're putting words in his mouth he didn't say lol. He said they never did a 3-peat as great as they were during their era (80s) that in terms of success and consistency it puts him right there with them if not even above them and he's right. Magic had Kareem/Worthy and Bird and McHale/Parish/Johnson as their all-stars and still couldn't do a 3-peat

I won't say that I'm better than those people, (but) in terms of success and consistency. That puts me up there with them, if not a step above them. I'm not here saying I'm competing for the best player in the world or history " lol you still took one portion of a word out of his interview and made it more than what it was. But act like he did say all the rest of what he said lol

It went from "But" to now "A step above them" when he said " in terms of success and consistency" of him doing a 3-peat, that they had never accomplished of doing. That he feels it puts him in the convo with them, if not a step above them. What do you not comprehend about that? All he is talking about is winning.

Exactly. Even with more teams in the league now, it's rare to see teams win 3 in a row...I don't even think the Miami Heat will win 3 in a row. It's a hard thing to do now. The reason why I don't think the Heat will win 3 in a row is because players on teams who accomplish their feat are usually guys in their prime and are young. I look at D-Wade and hes declining...he can deny it but people know he is.

Ummmm Jordan retired for a year and half after the first 3, came back and they won 3 more....so that's 6 championships in 8 years (the 2 they didn't win Jordan only played like 18 games). So YOU do the math, if he didn't retire that would've been 8 in a row. AND no team has won 72 games in a season except that bulls team.
