Went here right after the Darrell Armstrong episode in the Knuckleheads podcast (Q and D-Miles). Armstrong said Jordan INTENTIONALLY missed his last freethrow bec he wanted to send a message to the Orlando Magic and their fans. **After intentionally missing the freethrow, Jordan finished with 45 points to sweep the Magic. The season before this, Jordan was wearing jersey number 45 when the Magic beat the Bulls and made it to the NBA Finals.**

Because Nick Anderson made a comment that number 45 is not number 23 on game 3. In game 4 Jordan was introduced by the Orlando commentator by the number 45 and when Jordan removed the jacket off he was wearing number 23. Jordan took it personal. At the end of the game, Bulls swept the Magic in their home court. Jordan scored 45 points. 😊😊

Michael Jordan's turnaround fadeaway jump shot was so effective that no one was able to block it. Jordan unleashed that turnaround jumper to conserve his energy during a game. That move could not be stopped.

Im 52 now. As an Orlando native but true Jordan fan, I remember being the only one amongst my friends rooting against the Magic. The Magic beating the Bulls in 95 literally brought out psycho Michael which caused his revenge and onslaught on the league. 72-10 and 87-13 overall with the ring. That is clearly a better season than the 73-9 Warriors. Bulls lost only 3 games in the playoffs. The Magic player that took that last shot that Jordan shakes hands with, Brooks Thompson sadly passed away in 2016 at age 45.

Yeah, i only caught MJ live one time, but like you i seen so many of his games on TV thorugh the years, i could'nt even begin to count how many MJ games i seen. What ever arena MJ was in he got cheers, and i mean wherever he was. To have watched this man perform was something. Some haters try to talk down his greatness, those are usually younger people who have never seen him play, that's understandable, it's just blind ignorance on their parts.

Aside from that dunk, did he get a layup at any point in this game? Even great shooters like Steph Curry get a layup once in a while. Klay Thompson too. Man Michael Jordan is underrated as a shooter. He happens to shoot from midrange mostly, but his form is so pure. Crazy that he was just shooting contested midrange shots that whole game and hitting a ton of them.

Yeah, that was the competitor MJ was and the fire that burned inside of him. It's really amazing that he averaged 22 & 20 points a game at ages 39 & 40, no player has ever done that and never will, that i'm sure of. While it's true that at this age, MJ was'nt the player he was in his prime, he was still great and i cherished every last moment watching him, because i knew there was not gonna be another cat like him.

Well an intense off season, a new killer wicked fadaway,a record breaking 72 regular season wins, MVP,15-3 playoff championship caped run, a final's MVP later, where was the haters then. Right, now as far as Kobe is concerned, that's a bad ass dude and a great player, no doubt about that, i think one of the 10-15 greatest players of all time in his own right as we speak. As far as those 8 head to head games, well half of those we're 2001-03 when MJ was well past his prime of course, even then he still held his own pretty damn well against Kobe at 40 years old. MJ certainly was'nt better at that time, but he still held his own and did'nt embarrass himself.

@Brandoni73 you are right! :)that year losing the playoffs was maybe the most darkest or humiliating time for mj..haters were everywhere erasing him in the picture, he maybe experienced worse for me than the usual players today who are dissed thrugh social media & stuff..yet that time he took it as a challenged to be better and nt whine about it but shut down thise haters w/ his play & dedication. for that reason alone he is the best!:)

It's because of the injuries on the Magic. You put Horace and Anderson back in... you probably see Bulls winning in 5 or (most likely) 6.

@delfra70 i cannot imagine how hard it was for mj that time when people diss him about losing the 95 playoffs much more like what lebron or etc is experiencing now but i think his was greater motivation, humiliation at time, yet he took it as a challenge and not whine about it instead worked even harder, shut the haters down:) there are reasons that mj will be forever be num 1..this is one of them:)

At 3:14, that was the first time I've ever seen an offensive player try to force someone to play defense. Pippen tried to push Hardaway back into the paint so Jordan could dunk on him.

He was *starting* to decline a bit physically in 95-96. He wasn't "air" Jordan at this point, but he was rounding out his game by relying more on that killer fadeaway and more 3PT shots. IMO, this or 92-93 was the best Jordan.

@@John6-40 yeah your absolutely right his 1992/1993 season was prime MJ. But i can see how younger generations watching these highlights now would think this was prime MJ cause he was still the best ever. Shaq played prime MJ in there 1st meeting 1992 and MJ scored 64 pts, although the Bulls still lost that game.

This game is like Kobe's game 4 as well vs Utah in 2009 when he was hitting every shot after a poor shooting game 3. Kobe and Mike had that ability to turn it around completely and make up for a bad game.

The Orlando magic had a low morale in this game due to the injured key players and starters Horace Grant and Nick Anderson and their bench players were weak compared to the bulls bench players thus succumbing to Jordan and the bulls.
