This video just goes to show how great Michael Jordan was. Even at 39-40 he can't be checked. Like I've said before, kobe and LeBron are great, but Michael is the greatest hands down.

Jordan's basketball IQ was his fountain of youth. Most of those Suns players didn't know they were playing against a GENIUS!

It's amazing how media and people today generalize about LBJ making players better and suggesting MJ doesn't. MJ doesn't play point forward but does whatever is needed to help his team and his very presence demanded a level of seriousness that affected all of his teammates. This Wizard team was one of the worst the season before and with MJ, until he hurt his knee 2/3 deep in the season, they were playoff contenders. They still ended with a decent record after MJs knee injury. Mind you this is a terrible team without MJ - this is certainly not a super team by any steed of the imagination . Yet MJ brought a winning culture to the team with his play and attitude. GOAT.

Jordan was still elite before he hurt his knee. Still quick, and some of his hops were still there. The knee injury robbed him of some of the athleticism he had left. Had he stayed healthy, he could have played an extra year or two.

That was an interesting Suns team- Marbury, Marion, and Hardaway. They struggled that season, but a year later, they get Amar'e and make the playoffs. It was a short-lived nucleus, but certainly a fascinating one.

41 points againts Shawn Marion, who is so atheltic that they call him "The Matrix". Marion here was taller, faster, quicker stronger than Mike (i think Shawn was also wearing a kryptonite ring), yet he was looking helpless againts a 40 years old man. Do the math kiddies, a prime Jordan would tear todays league a new one.

Would have loved to see what MJ could have done on a better team. Those Wizards teams he played on for 2 years were a notch up from a good high school team. Imagine if he had played for a team like the Spurs or Pacers. We could be talking about all 8 of Jordan's rings.

  • @whomiketrann

if he didn't take those 3 years off before joining the wizards, he could've easily surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in points total, easily.

Am i the only one who thinks that after witnessing the 2011 playoffs, Kobes, Lebrons and to a lesser extent Wades stock fell even lower in comparison to Jordan? Its not that they were ever really close but still...

@saturndual32 the sad thing is, I don't know how their stock has ever gotten that up... LeBron got swept in the finals (w/ no help, so I can understand) but this time he got all the help in the world, and didn't make it... Kobe's closer to Jordan than LeBron has ever been, ever.. but Kobe's best performance int he finals is dropping what? 40? Jordan's been consistently dropping 50 in that sumbitch

In this video, Jordan at 40 in one good leg, is torching a prime Shawn "The Matrix" Marion. Props to Marion he had a great playoffs run, i didnt think at this point in his career he still had it in him, i guess "The Matrix" got reloaded, hehe.

lolz you think Marion has a chance against Jordan? Fkin hell Scottie Pippen played MJ in practice all the time. The greatest scorer and one of the greatest perimeter defenders of all time has a practice partner who's also one of the greatest perimeter defenders of all time.
