I’ve never seen this either. Also if Michael had built a theme park like that today it would have done well because Disney is gone off the deep end and is too expensive for old rides at parks. MJ could have probably done well with it. I mean I took my son in Match and was $400 for both for 1 day, plus bout $200 for stuff there, nothing new, too long rides, just not worth it. Is voted number 1 worst rip-off’s in America. No lie. Universal I heard is better.

Thanks for this rare MJ upload! This is a very interesting clip for several reasons. When this took place in 1998, Mike had finished the HIStory tour the previous year and, he was a new father of 2, with Prince and Paris both under 18 months. He evidently got connected with Don Barden seeing as Don was a well-known black entrepreneur who owned ‘The Majestic Star Casino’ which was founded in Michael's hometown, Gary, Indiana. MJ seemed to trust Don. Mike never seemed like the type to condone gambling, but, in this case, it wouldn't be surprising if Mike was told that the influx of revenue from the casino (plus the idea that it was meant to be a theme park that employed locals) would bring a big boost to Gary. With that being said, I can't help but think Don was using Mike for his tacky venture. The theme park idea was later scrapped, and it turned out to be a plain old casino! In late 2009, Majestic Star filed for bankruptcy, FYI. Michael had a lot of leeches clinging to him during his life, this is valuable proof of this happening. The only up-side is that MJ was and is such a legend that putting his name on anything still generates interest and sales, because he has always been known for being exceptional. 💜
