Yes, there are people who underestimate him with their opinions, but it is a fact that MJ is one of the best singers of all time and is considered that way by singing teachers. Anyone who has heard his material knows how good of a singer he is.

We would love it if that were true. Millions and millions of people have heard these songs but it seems like Michael Jackson still doesn't get the recognition he deserves as a singer.

Lovely reaction! And yes, I agree on it being really cool, how MJ not only didn't tamper with the song (accept for making a concert remix which is something else) but also lets on the same energy as in the original, through the performance. That's yet another way of giving recognition to both the song and the connection between MJ and the audience that the song has yielded and yields. It would have been easy not to do that on a song like this, since it >>only>> has a few signture moves, it isn't like Thriller or Billie Jean. But no, MJ gets it. (Although sometimes I guess they wished to be a bit more creative than what the public would allow and I get that, I mean even if one respects the song on it's own merits - doing the same number a year of touring and then for every tour for decades, could get a bit anti-creative and tedious. It was sweet of MJ to give us that, anyway. Especially given that MJ was anything but anti-creative and tedious.) Also, it does help one keep MJ together as an artist, right? Like, given the longevity of MJs career, to see the energy of the like 20 year old come out (or maybe even 11 year old (!) during I want You Back), helps one see how it's all just one amazing human being and artist, not an era and then another or this album vs that or this stage production vs this one etc etc, the way one easily gets caught up, to be able to process it all. Just one amazing Michael, carrying every experience they ever had, all way through. Awesome singer, awesome performance. As always.

Love it so much and this era took his life performance persona to another level. He was already a superstar and people who saw him with the Jackons during Victory tour and tour they in late 70s know he iconic he is. I really enjoy watching these but saddens me that in all my years of living i never go to see him live. I had one chance growing up in Boston but they didnt want the element out in Foxboro they though would be negative... such a shame but his gift lives forever.

Hi, I just listened to your reaction and I must say that Michael is appreciated all over the world! Outside his homeland, unfortunately!!! His brilliant vocals and vocal techniques are analyzed by many voice specialists, especially Chris Liepe (as well as many from different countries, see KZread channels). You can also find many scientific studies and master's theses devoted to him and his work. Why was he so persecuted in his homeland? Was he too brilliant, too famous, too rich? Because he was light years ahead of others and won the most awards? Why was so much hatred poured on Him in the USA!? Why? Greetings from Poland. In April this year, a great symphonic concert "Tribute To Michael Jackson" will take place in Warsaw.

I've wondered the same thing for years. The US (our home country) is just driven by sensational joirnalism. So people just believed all of the lies that the media told them about Michael. Few of us (like myself) decided to do our own research. It's sad but it's true that this is how it is in the US. We are long time defenders of Michael Jackson. In April this year, a great symphonic concert dedicated to the music of MJ will take place in Warsaw: Hits of pop music legend Michael Jackson will be played with a symphony orchestra!
