Okay I have a few comments for this: 1) that bloke looked WAY too much like Tom Sneddon for my liking 2) I could've flat out punched the granny in green 3) And one minute they are saying how amazing he was then next minute indirectly tearing him down ? HE HAD VITILIGO OMG

Just to be fair, these people didn't met MJ until 1985 & he didn't announce he had vitiligo until his Oprah interview in 1993. Considering how insane & vicious the media were towards MJ then (believe me I know, I was a teenager in the '80's), I think these people spoke kindly of him. They admired his talent & felt sympathy for his obvious shyness. As for the guy who had a vague resemblance to Sneddon....no fair! He wasn't that ugly & I wouldn't wish those looks on my worst enemy! Anyway, don't get upset. I've been a fan of MJ for 36yrs & love him dearly. You have a great day :)

Hi Kerryn, l have just had another listen, and l have to admit, that l felt a bit uneasy that they chose to share all this on the day of his passing. It was a very interesting story, but not really the appropriate time for most of it to be shared. Also disappointed with Mrs Holmes A'Courts attitude, as she was telling her story, l have always thought of her as a very dignified, and kind lady, and would have expressed herself a little more appropriately for such a sad day. But it was really lovely to read your very gracious and reasonable attitude to it all. It horrifies me to this day, to be reminded of the persecution Michael suffered, just for being a bit different from the norm. l have actually created a playlist on all the evidence that revealed his innocence, after that horrendous court case he was put thru'.

it is fantastic just how shy he was on interviews and how different he was performing, like when performing he was at heaveb, but on interviews, or when to talking to people he didnt knew, extremely shy, you can tell he would run away if could, he was so sensitive, i wish he wasnt, that way he would still be with us

And there has been the public understanding that MJ outbid Paul - not true! Straight from the previous owners of the rights of some of the Beatles catalog - that they got a right of refusal from Paul Mcartney. So Paul was offered FIRST to bid, but refused. So why do some people bitch around that Michael OUTBID Paul?

He was probably more self-conscious during this trip as from what I have researched this is the first time I can find where he appeared in public where it looks like he did a skin treatment to be a little lighter than before. Earlier in 1985 he recorded We Are The World and other thig and was a lot darker. He then did this trip where he looked lighter. He already had appearance issues and this just added to it. Picking up books on skin disease and things show that.

headapt He never did treatments other than use Benoquin, and that was much later in his life (Benoquin is prescribed to people with vitiligo to help even the remainder of spots on their skin). He also used lighter makeup to even out the discolouration. Michael said himself in the 90’s that he didn’t even know what skin bleaching was, so what treatments are you talking about?

Something is clear for me. He wasn't happy at the time :( It could be his concerns about vitiligo and lupus. Or the result of his previous Pepsi accident. Don't forget that he had a seriuos injury that required surgical procedures and drugs to relieve the pain.

Janet Holmes A court says that MJ didn't want the sun on his skin because of his 'plastic surgery program'....? The truth is that MJ had Discoid Lupus and Vitiligo and was told to avoid the sun by his dermatologist. I'm not so sure about his deficient social skills. He did seem to have psychological damage due to extreme fame from the age of 11. Too bad his parents never addressed this when he was a teenager. His life did not have to end so tragically.

@johnlucas1 Michael Jackson actually wanted the ATV catalog for the R&B songs on it from Sly & The Family Stone and Little Richard and all that. The fact that the catalog happened to predominantly contain Beatles songs and that MJ and Paul McCartney had a very public friendship turned it into a controversy. I think also his bitter love/hate relationship with Yoko Ono, who was friends with Michael Jackson as well as Sean Lennon, had a lot to do with the animosity towards MJ from Paul.

***** l'm sorry mate, but it is the subject of song ownership for many of our nieve early artists of the '60s, that makes me very very angry. They were busy creating, with no idea that they were manipulated into signing away ownership of their creations by some f.....g greedy parasite. PAUL AND JOHN SHOULD HAVE NEVER LOST OWNERSHIP OF THEIR CREATIONS. The same thing happened to our Australian [was] band LITTLE RIVER BAND. To me the whole situation is as despicable or unbelievable as if someone could buy the rights to everything done by PICASSO, or any other artist. Plus Paul was waiting for Yoko's decision, cos he felt he shouldn't act on his own, when Michael snapped them up. Just after his supposed period of friendship he had with Paul, when they were recording tog.

Plus he was a shy person as well, his whole family is shy. What did she expect for him to show up and chat it up with strangers. Why can't people see things from his point of view. I think I know why he was acting like he did. I think it was too fold, the guy from whom he bought the catalogue was South African and also I think he was sad due to someone he liked getting married in a civil ceremony in NYC just some days after the telethon. Tbh I think this was a way for him to be away from the US. I didn't believe that he really felt this way about that lady but he clearly was sombre during late 1985 and early 1986 which coincides with the lady's two wedding ceremonies.

Michael DID want the Beatles' songs, he just told her a different story. Paul DID want the catalogue and he actually out bid everyone during the auction, but they required a cash back up which Paul didn't have at the time. Michael had the biggest "cash back-up" of auction so the catalogue went to him. His fear of the Sun had to do with the advancement of his Vitiligo, NOT a plastic surgery series. Michael gave Little Richard his own songs back for free making him an instant millionaire.

Everything you said in your comment is wrong… the beatles didn’t sell their own catalog, they didn’t know about the business at the time and then they got screw over when the person that owned their music, sold it without their consent, while they were in the process of trying to get it back. Paul mccartney was not a billionaire in the 80s, he was trying to buy the lennon/maccartney songs alongside with yoko for 20 million but they wanted 50 million, and michael beat them and bought it for 64 million, then after michael was having legal and money issues is when he sold some of it, and that’s how sony ended up with half of it
