Michael showed maturity in his responses. When she said, but you're his father. He Maintained his composure. The MAN responded, the protective father responded not the image. I love it. Love you Michael.

the way Michael closes the jacket at 6:18 as if to shield himself, when barbara starts talking about his appearance.. I don't know what right do people have to talk in such manner to anyone, let alone michael jackson - the greatest artist of all times. it was just one sentence, but she insinuated so many things behind that. and i just can't for the love of God understand how people can be so mean to him and not be ashamed of that at all.

and just to continue this, I never found Michael ugly or weird, if anything, I think he was a very attractive man. Also...I kind of think that many people just don't want to admit that they find him attractive, because he was often mocked for his appearance 🤷‍♀️

What a waste of time when you get an interview with the biggest artist of all time and you don’t ask about his legacy, music, charities… MJ was a kind, humble and down to earth artist, he should be a huge lesson to all those new artists thinking they’re better than anyone else.

He looked absolutely beautiful in this interview

When she asked "Does the Press have to be kind?" He looked so confused and upset that has to be a question, and responded to that perfectly by saying "What you saw to Lady Diana, you tell me..."

6:15 “the way you look the way you dress” Michael looked like he was about to cry, he looked so uncomfortable. Poor baby. I don’t know why people picked on him he was the sexiest man alive the way he LOOKED and DRESSSED is what drew people crazy. I still try buying clothes that have that style that Michaels clothes have off, it gave off a really HOT STYLE everything about him was perfect if he wasn’t the way he was he wouldn’t be MICHAEL JACKSON he wouldn’t be the KING. Such a wonderful person Michael Jackson is his humility is shown all over

He is such a brilliant storyteller. Brilliant. Very persuasive and eloquent, and his soothing, gifted voice is a cherry on top. His body language and facial expressions just make you really want to keep listening and agreeing to everything he says! And especially his eyes... They tell. They tell their own stories. I miss him so much. I love listening to him. But unfortunately a lot of his interviews are just sad, mostly because of those ignorant interviewers and the systematic effort to defame this legendary successful black artist! He was indeed psychic. Before he passed away he told many people in his close circle that his last day was coming and he feared for it. He always knew something.

"The way you look, the way you dress." Girl he's wearing a plain white shirt, a black jacket, and a fedora! That is the least eccentric thing he's wearing! And even then, his most extravagant and more detailed outfits give off a sense of royalty. This woman was trying to make him look bad.

I agreed that Barbara W was very rude, so did other interviewers like Oprah & Bashir. MJ is really a sweet person. I don't find anything wrong or weird about him... he's just better than most human beings ❤️

He was so very good, humble., generous, honest and tolerant everytime and everywhere media and press took undue advantage of his modesty, the lady herself is asking eccentric crazy questions, how could she and the way she is asking is not good, she i,s being rude : her facial expressions , these interviewers dont feel guilty ,MJ should not have attended or trusted and befriendly with any interviewer , media or press.should given a damn care !! He is a complete world within himself and doesnt need anybody to achieve acomplish the highest, Nobody can shake him, he is the strongest i have ever seen, love you MJ❤

This woman is just so bland. She gets this one interview with this person who has so much to share, and she sits there asking intrusive, hurtful questions with no journalistic value and no emotion except condescention, showing. There's just one agenda here: expose this person's 'eccentricity'. My point is, why is emotion such a no-no. Is it because emotion was considered too 'eccentric' to be professional?? Is it because emotion has always been associated with 'femininity' and a lady journalist baring any emotion on camera would compromise her 'professionalism'? Idk. My favourite interview of Michael Jackson's is the one with Geraldo Rivera. I feel like the latter did the former and his achievements some justice.

I think she has interviewed so many people that she has just become smug and calius. Wonder if she looks back on that interview now and ever wonders what an amazing privelged he allowed her by giving her an interview. Not to mention, THE interview I’d say of her whole career even though she appeared to have cared less. I mean, this is what infuriates me...I’ve seen her do interviews with convicts and shown more consideration and feelings than she did with Michael Jackson.

Micheal is so kind and sweet even the interviewer was too much. Nothing wrong in his appearance, I found his outfit is so nice and the way he dress looks great. That is MJ ‘s style. This is the king of POP style.

2:06 Chilled me to the bone. When asked how he heard about Princess Diana’s death he says, “I woke up and, uh, my doctor gave me the news….” We know now that even back in the late 1990’s Michael was hiring irresponsible “doctors” who were willing to misuse anesthesia to treat his insomnia. One can’t help but assume that in 1997 his “Dr. Murray” was “waking” him from his propofol-induced sleep. So sad that Michael never realized just how dangerous this practice was and that it would take his life just a few years later…………………🥺

Michael Jackson, a lovely King!

MJ appeared really normal in this interview despite the stupid questions and treatment he was given by the interviewer. He was classy, kind and not vindictive in his responses. Fame is a dangerous thing. They will build you up just to tear you down. The answers he gave were perfect. Do unto others.

All interviews with him feel like a missed opportunity! I don't see a single question about his creative progress, inspirations, dance and such! All they ask are silly and mean questions, c'mon, you're talking to Michael Jackson and you don't make one single question about his music. I also find it hilarious how this woman talks about the way he dresses, that he is eccentric and all that but I think he was stylish af, I don't think there was anything wrong with the way he dressed or behaved.

God, I'm really loving Michael in this interview, he's amazing, strong, and so eloquent. This is my first time watching this particular interview and gotta admit that I rarely watch his interviews with this kind of interviewer, but i feel like in this one Michael was especially assertive. At times he looked like he gonna cut a bitch, esp when he repeated the incredulous questions back to BW 😂 And the way he lit up when he talked about Prince 😍 I love the last part of the interview.
