One of the saddest days in my life, I called off from work, I became a fan at the age of 9 with the Jackson 5 and his music was with me through my entire life. I was blessed to see him perform live 5 times. I felt like I lost a friend or family member. He may be gone from us physically but his spirit lives on through his music and videos. Thank you for honoring him!

I was on my way to play a piano gig at the Marriott. Farrah Fawcett died earlier so I brought the theme from Charlie's Angels. On my way, I heard on radio about Michael. I turned around and went home to get my sheet music to "Ben" which Michael sang in 1977. I played it at a talent show in 1978 and dedicated it to my great grandmother at my parents request. My great grandma was Lucille and was born in 1899 so she was almost 80. I thought it so strange I had to dedicate a song about a rat to her. I look back now and so glad I did. Michael was such a huge part of my life and I will love him forever.❤
