And even then, nobody has figured out what caused dopamine to stop in the body to cause the disease. My dad suffered though two decades before succumbing to it (thanks to his heart) in 2000. Michael continues to fight and figuring out a cure for Parkinson's not just for him....but for future generations that may get the disease. He also lives life to the fullest.

Something I'm surprised wasn't covered but I've heard Fox mention in other interviews is that he's very aware that he has resources available to him that the vast majority of disabled people don't. So if even he sometimes needs to say, "I'm out of the lemonade business, this just sucks," imagine what it's like for others. We often place a huge added burden on disabled people by expecting them to be "inspirational" all the time when it's difficult enough for them just to cope. Bless him for having the honesty to talk about that. He's such a lovely human being.

What he told fox was absolutely brilliant and heart warming "Your public fight has given millions private strength." And that goes deep like not just for Fox but for anyone in the public eye fighting tough battles. They all give strength to those that witness. That was a beautiful thing to say to Fox.

I love Michael, he’s such a great actor and person. Meeting him was a dream I’d had since I was little and never thought in a million years it would come true. Very short amount of time with him but I will always remember it as one of the best experiences of my life. Keep dreaming because dreams do come true! Strength and love for Michael, keep fighting, we are all with you.

I love him! I grew up watching Family Ties and loved Back to the Future... he has always been awesome! The courage it takes to live his life out loud, beautiful. I love that he said that it sucks sometimes and he’s tired of “making lemonade”. I’m a licensed therapist and this belief that we must be “positive” all the time is not helpful. Sometimes life is what it is and admitting that it’s challenging, tough, sad is okay! So proud of him! 💛☀️

I feel the same way about Michael J. Fox as I do about Robin Williams, or Mr. Rogers. Such a hugely inspirational, admirable man. I hope he knows that it's perfectly OK to take a break from the "eternal optimist" persona. He doesn't owe his fans anything, and he deserves the opportunity to process his struggle however he needs to.

Michael is one of the all time greatest actors with a charm in all of his roles that is unmatched, it must just come natural to him. In the interview, which was fantastic btw, all that charm shines bright to this day and most actors lose that somewhere, but not Michael, his is a bright star. :) We love you Michael!
