Yup and the reason he is being like this is because deep down he doesn't like Michael because he feels like he wasn't a "street guy" who got his hands dirty like sammy did. sammy is always praising the "tough guys" who were killers but talks down on the guys who weren't like him.

@@HiBye-ec8ts That's how Sammy expresses it but that's not all of the reason behind it. It's because Sammy is so nostalgic about the mob life and the good old days and now feels like he is a superior mob guy compared to Michael. (Like you said) But also because Sammy is stubborn, has a personality that makes him think he knows everything and his age is propably affecting him, so those traits come up even more.

@@charlescarter4608 It was a more complicated then that, which is why it worked. Company A Purchased the gas as a wholesaler that did not have to pay taxes on the gas. Company B then purchased the gas from company A on paper. Company C illegally received the gas and sold it to the public. Company D Filters the Kickbacks. Company B would then be periodically liquidated so the paper trail between company A and B ended there. Company C didn't owe the tax to the IRS so as long they forwarded their false information the IRS would have no reason to investigate company C. Company D had zero paper connection to any of the other businesses. They didn't simply not pay taxes, they created a scheme where by the IRS wouldn't be able trace where the stolen tax money was actually going. If it were not for Phillip Moskowitz being caught on tape it's unlikely that they would have been caught.

SG has never been a hypocrite about it; awful, but the killer, he is. It's not jealousy, you just know where you stand with him. MF on the other hand: there's a passage in the Bible that says "Satan's house divides itself". This is the other half of Michael Franzese. If he reads the Bible like he says he does, that passage should have jumped out at him.

Exactly right I agree, Sammy is a great story teller like Michael, however unlike Michael, Sammy did not possess the smarts that Michael clearly and innately had in that life. Also unlike Michael, Sammy did not benefit from having a legendary mafia underboss like Sonny Franzese as his father to mentor him through that process of how to move and maneuver in that life. It definitely bothers Sammy that a guy like Michael who lived the same life in the mob turned out slightly better in life today compared to his own life.

Sometimes in life we have stories in our heads for years and believe that story and keep that story the way we remember, but many times that story might be a bit off, so it's good that you say your story then the other person helps clarify it better then both people talking get an understanding of eachothers past thoughts on the subject, so its good if Sammy just at times doesn't go so hard on Michael as sometimes our own thought is not the way something exactly was, so both can update eachother about the past when the story is a bit off

You don't just forget those people when they are like blood family...of course, unless you want to forget?🤔 I'm not trying to be critical (okay, yes I am), but it's as if Sammy feels like he has to always "up one" on Michael. He seems to, constantly, try to delegitimize, Michael. Yes...Sammy is a true street gangster, we get that...and it STILL shows. Whats easier, to pull a trigger or to expand a scam to a multi-million dollar business, I know which one I'd give the credit too, also note how often Michael says "its public record, check up on it" I've never ever heard Sammy say this even though I've heard him say a hell of a lot,

They themselves were cogs in the greater machine. Yeah, they were important cogs - not disputing that - but still only cogs. Try to build anything in New York bigger than a three bedroom house and *wham* the unions are on you. To this day, the Mafia are leeches

Morally you're correct but technically you're wrong. The definition of "earn" is to obtain money in return for labor and services aka gas stations and gasoline. The tax money was still earned through the sale of gasoline, they just never paid the tax lol

I watched all of Michael & Sammys videos. Sammys a real gent however, I’ve lost respect for the guy he can’t stop f*****g whining about everything Michael says. Michael’s the real bread earner here. I don’t know how STB ran a successful construction business with this attitude. Paul castellano “in our world there are gangsters and racketeers” understand that you’re speaking to one of the best racketeers the mob had and you show him no respect. Who cares if Michael didn’t go around breaking knee caps he kept everyone else in the business fed, whilst taking from the government & nobody got hurt. It’s a win win.

This man Michael seems so much smarter than any Italian wise guy I’ve ever heard. Impressive guy. He brings up intrigue with this interesting gasoline scam, and Sammy ends up arguing, and then talking 2nd hand about it for 5 minutes. Shut up, let the man speak.

Michael is smart and very smart, sammy knows hes smart and knows he knows alot about him and thats makes him double prejeduce and angry towards him. He just cant pick that how michael comes out as a "clean" guy while he knows and heard probably he has still very much contacts in that life.
