Songbook Foundation founder, Michael Feinstein, paid tribute to Songbook legend, Judy Garland, who voiced so many of the enduring songs that have become standards in the soundtrack of our lives with a special concert tour celebrating her legacy.
For this concert, we brought out a special item from the Songbook Library & Archives - the piano of composer Harold Arlen! This piano is the one on which he composed many of his iconic songs, including “Over the Rainbow,” a song that immediately inspires feelings of nostalgia as it is considered the No. 1 song in American cinema of the 20th century by the American Film Institute.
