Fashion designer Michael Cinco lashed out at Miss Universe Canada Nova Stevens and her team for allegedly blaming him over her loss at the recent beauty pageant.
In a lengthy Facebook post on Saturday, Cinco spoke against the “uncalled for blame on my team week after Miss Universe.”

Ms. Nova and her team should always taught themselves to look for the beauty in it. To look in the beauty of the faces of the designers and to be grateful. And she and her team would bring that aspect as a Miss Universe to see situations with a silver lining. And to assess where they could give something where they could provide something as a spokesperson. And with that they think if they could teach also people to be grateful, we could have an amazing world where negativity could not grow and foster and designers will have a smile on their faces...😅

Malalaman mo talaga kung gaano kamang-mang ang iilang Pilipino sa social media. First of all, si Nova ay laging nagpopost ng comment niya na nagpapasalamat ka Michael Cinco, kung meron kang instagram mababasa mo kung gaano karami ang comment ni Nova na nagpapasalamat kay M5. Secondly, labas si Nova Stevens sa isyu ni Michael Cinco at Miss Universe Canada Org. Bakit kailangan niyo ibash si Nova eh wala naman siyang alam sa ayaw ni M5 at MU organization ng Canada, Mga wala ba kayong pinag-aralan? Jusko, parang nasa kalye lang, kapag nay narinig na tsismis ipagkakalat agad. Alamin niyo muna ang totong kwento, hindi niyo kailangan ibash si Nova dahl labas siya sa isyu nayan!

Walang kinalaman ang candidate @stephen... Yung handler niya yung my problema... Hirap sa pinoy eh mapitik lang ng onte putak na ng putak... Imporante nakapag labas na ng statement yung designer natin.

To all ... Beauty Contestant and future ones !!! "You cannot compete without your gowns !!!" And ... its not the gowns !!! Its the totality as a whole why a candidate makes it or ... NOT !!!
Since the time Nova called out negative online comments from supposedly Filipino pageant fans, I knew then her team knew their job. The timing was perfect, just a few days before the coronation night. They seem to be exactly how Michael Cinco described them to be. They're strategists. Must have been a real big blow to them when their candidate did not even make it to Top 21 after everything they've done. So they had to pass the blame to someone else. Nova's video is lacking. She's obviously trying to make it short, plain, and safe. Does not vindicate Michael Cinco in any way. Aside from spreading love, she should spread the TRUTH as well, something that she seems hesitant to do. - I edited the first part to read "called out" instead of "posted rants against." This is as pointed out by a comment below. Amazing also how Nova highlighted Pinoy comments, and not the other comments from other nationalities.

Calling out racism is different from a rant. She's tryingvto prove a point there. Kahit naman sino, masasaktan sa mga pinagsasabi nung mga racist na Pilipino na nanlalait sa ichura nya. Ikaw ba, okay lang sayo tuwing tinatawag na mukang unggo, punggok at mga katulong ang Pilipino ng mga foreigners? Di ka papalag?

What makes you think, Ms. CANADA, that your beautiful gowns should have won you the crown? A beauty pageant is not the runway where you strut your gowns, etc. It takes more than clothes to win the crown. Michael Cinco made you the most beautiful gowns for the pageant. Spreading negativity when youre only defending your reputation???? That is just bs. Nova's team is bs. And nova isnt a mannequin caught in between. She is the "artist" using the products and had conversations of the designer asking for clarifications. You use him but you dont back him up or thank him?
NOVA is not gonna win! With that attitude, dream on. You got all the lovely ladies with great personalities around.
