How did so many professional fighters choose charles? I've never stepped in the octagon or the boxing ring, all I did was high school wrestling and it was as clear as day light to me that Islam dominates him

@@amzofficial8868 The guy had so many wars, its hard to tell. I wouldnt even say, his chin is bad. Its just sometimes he gets dropped by a soft punch and sometimes he eats bombs, like in the 3rd round against Gaethje, when he was already almost knocked out in round 2 by a brutal uppercut. And in the first round he was still able to eat some heavy shots. I think Gaethje ended his ability to take a punch for good though, after seeing him getting dropped by Ferguson.

@@fullmetall77 Dustin had definitely taken alot of damage, however (in my opinion) Poirer handles shots and damage far better then Michael. Will be an incredible fight for sure, but I say Dustin will win by KO/TKO in the 2nd. I think Dustin will catch Chandler with a ringer, back Chandler up against the cage, and will barrage Chandler with punches to finish him off. Can't wait to see it.
This dude is so full of s#*t. He sounds like a politician. Guy came in with one win on Dan Hooker and got a title shot, and then he turns around and tries to pretend Islam doesn't deserve a shot while refusing to fight him, and then saying he has to fight a top 5 guy to get a title shot. He should run for congress.
Chandler is the most well spoken UFC Fighter of all time. Dude seems like such a great guy. I will admit that I NEVER expected it.

I knew he deserved his spot because he easily beat Benson twice and fought Alvarez twice in wars. Benson & Alvarez were both champs in ufc...so if you think about he he fought ufc champs 4 times...and he won 3 out of those 4 times against ufc champs. That's impressive and I thought he deserved the spot in the ranks. And now he has a win over tony ferguson a former interim champ and legend in the game

He took fight on 2 days notice, wasn't even fighting in his own weight class was fighting at 170, he cut his leg early, he was doing great in that fight actually until his coaches gave him bad advice telling him to go for the takedown so the loss wasn't even his own fault. That loss to diaz does not mean he's washed at all, with a full camp and at their own proper weight class 155 tony ferguson destroys nate dude

I didn’t like how Tony looked and I would like him to retire but I have to say this, he moved up a weight class for the first time in years coming off a brutal knockout not long ago and was preparing for a different guy before switching to Nate who has a different stance and style also a fight which turned to a 5 rounder… with all this being said people should give him a break and stop disrespecting him

I think Tony looked pretty good in the Nate fight with all that considered. Nate probably did a lot of wrestling / bjj in his camp so you can’t fault the submission loss but Tony was tryna pick up the pace in the later rounds

Dustin & Mike is going to be one helluva fight, could you imagine if this was on UFC 280, which that card is one of the most stacked cards with nothing but superstars. Me and Chandler share the same Birthday April 24 with him being a year old than me, I'm 35... and Dustin is from my area of Louisiana. I like Chandler and is great fighter and great guy overall, yet I'm still picking 💎

Oh you KNOW he has a broadcasting deal written into his contract. He’s spoken about it here and there. I find him to be a little bit too much of a company man/perfect employee. But good for him. Get that money.

And he won't beat Dustin either. Much much better striker. So if he does loose to Poirier. I think he will. He's done. He lost two gatchje, who also lost to Charles. And beat a declining Tony and then thought he should fight for the belt again. That didn't work so now he's facing Poirier, who best days may be ahead of him. But he doesn't have the striking to beat Poirier and certainly won't tap him or out point him. He's a flogg

Its crazy how people still dont know how odds work. The objective of the oddsmakers is to make money for the sportsbooks. Its often to get even money on both sides so the house wins no matter the result, or at times they set the line to suck people in on one side knowing that is likely the wrong side.

I think if Dustin stops the td’s & evades the looping over hands in the first 3 min he should beat Chandler. I cannot see Chandler ever holding the title.

Chandler's smart, but it doesn't go with his fighting style, dude swings for the fences and takes alot of damage.
Whenever Michael speaks you can just tell he's a good man. Some fighters will do the "nice" guy act and you can literally tell that's not his real personality . Michael is a real nice, down to earth type of person. Anyways I'm excited for this fight, it should be really good.

Zero chance of that happening. Be honest with yourself about where his two most recent victories sit in terms of title picture relevance. Hooker and Ferguson are shot. Even if he was able to somehow upset Poirer, he will take a ton of damage-- and then possibly have to fight The Highlight AGAIN to get back to DA BRONX...there is no way in hell, especially with his shot chin that he could beat three high level opponents in a row.

His first 5 fights in the UFC are against insanely tough competition. It's even crazier to think that he could have been the champion had there been a different referee at UFC 262.

I can’t figure out why everyone thinks Oliveira is better than Islam. The only reason Islam isn’t the champ already is because of time and getting the fights. I think it crushes the ego of Gaethje and Chandler to think Islam is better than Oliveira. I guess their fragile egos will have to deal with it.

Well, that is the most used trope, fighters always speak highly of the fighter that beat them, and every single time the dumb fans mistake it for humility, "Oh Look how humble he is, he put his ego aside and looked at it objectively, he was able to ignore his hate for the guy that K.O.ed him, wow" when it is the complete opposite, putting ego aside would be by saying that a fighter who beat you would lose to someone else. and there is no actual problem with saying that because EVERYONE claims that MMA math doesn't work, so just because Islam beats Charles doesn't mean that Islam beats Chandler (even though he does, easily), but fighters and MMA fans aren't the brightest anyway.

I am watching Chandler since his run in the Bellator and was soo happy when he K.O'ed Dan in his UFC debut and till now he's just doing light works in his every fight.
