The best part about this interview is Mike saying "Conor took the fight cuz he knows hell is coming towards him and he wants a challenge" when in reality Conor knows when Mike "puts his foot on the gas" he gets super sloppy, Conor mcgregor has some of the best counter striking in mma history. He sees Mike's "muscle through you" mentality as an opportunity to add onto his highlight reel lol

Mike knows it too he just smart enough to use it to draw conor into a fight, and he was beating poirer up when he was being smart, so if he can maintain a smart fight for atleast the first rd he stands a chance, juicehead will gas out after one, unless he thrown epo into his roid cocktail lool. The amount of information that Chandler DOESN'T know about the Ultimate Fighter is impressive to me. Not just that he doesn't know the details of his own upcoming season, but the fact that he seems to only have a bare bones, rudimentary grasp of how the show in general. What a legend. It's also wildly impressive how well he can string together sentences (especially after a decade in the fight game)

The way he talks about his defeats shows his character. Very humbling.

"When I get in the cage I step on the gas pedal and all he'll breaks loose". For once, that's an absolute understatement. My favourite man in Combat sports, bar none, for exactly that reason. This whole announcement has me giddy like a child waiting for Christmas again.

Chandler is definitely an awesome candidate for this. Hell do great although he got unlucky with Porier he still out on a heck of a show. That’s what matters and we know he isn’t going anywhere.

Chandler is so smart and very articulate. By far the smartest MMA fighter in the world. Him and Usman.

I can see Chandler and Conor being great friends after this is all done, work rate is high from both men and they are both tuned in, high IQ for professional cage fighters. Conor could have come back against anyone. I'm really happy it will be against Chandler, because he fully deserves it. Not just a highly entertaining fighter, but he presents himself very well. Every fighter should listen to this man talk and learn how to answer questions.

Bellator should make a better, more genuine TUF as part of a legend league. Build the legends toward their last fights and use that platform to bestow personal experience, life lessons, to established those lesser known and younger individuals. I’ll gladly accept 1-5% for ideas going forward 😉 or a flat rate for strategic marketing questions geared toward the mundane - e.g. font formatting, image cropping, audio sound bites 🤷‍♂️

Chandler is one of those dudes who will put the win and his health at risk for the excitement of the fans. Gotta respect that.

I wish they would have marketed this years TUF as IRELAND VS USA. I loved the UK vs USA TUF from back in the day - would certainly get much more hype behind it imo

As a brief aside, can we appreciate Chandler's Wi-Fi connection? There are so many fighters who come on that have poor connection, or they're in the back of an Uber driving and you can't hear.... Chandler is just very professional, no matter what he does.

I'm sure it will sell real well, but it's very hard for me to get excited about a fight that's not for another nine months.

Not hard for me to get excited, it’s a great fight

I have a hunch this will be the lowest selling of Conor’s last 5 or so PPVs. He should be fighting Masvidal for a last big payday and comparable end of career skill level for both. Chandler will likely demolish Conor in the first round, and the episodes leading up to it will be embarrassing-Conor being an ugly narcissist to chandler’s unflappable nice guy the whole time.

Definitely excited for this, Chandler deserves this all his fights have been epic since he came into ufc.

Why don't fights or how is there why or came with calm nerves yeah it's his mentality to go on when it's on inside the cage he gets tired it's sad to see he could've beat Charles and Dustin but noo he wants to fight his way everytime and in end upset the fans hope you get on track. Chandler has improved allot since he hooked up with Henry. He no longer does that crazy hop to reset but he still has major holes in his stand up. He's very easy to hit and for 1-2 rounds Conor hits like a truck and he's technically very sound. I see this going don't just like Conor vs Alvarez. Plus it's not a 5 round title fight so Conor can unload on the guy when he gets him hurt.

Depending on how entertaining TUF is, the fact its on ESPN, I think it will hit around 1.6m PPVs. The undercard won't be too strong as most of the budget will go to Conor. Yes he's still that guy. You'll see more celebs at this event than ever before because he isn't just an MMA fighter. He's now a bonfide celebrity and its an occasion when he fights. Between 1.4 and 1.6m. Possibly his last fight so it will definitely have eyeballs on it. And I do think it will end in the 1st round. 😂
