Today we are chatting about what can be a bit of an uncomfortable topic, dos and don't while doing mic up or entering peoples dressing rooms at all.
It can be massively difficult for people to set boundaries in spaces like this, and being courteous and cautious of the ways you can make people feel in these spaces is always the best course of action.
The social element of jobs like this are not taught to us, they are learnt on the job and sometimes learnt the hard way. A lot of these things I have done in my early days or figured out in response to one of them coming up with a coworker.
These things may not be obvious to everyone, we are all at a different place with our ability to read other people and how they feel. Normalising the conversations around these things makes life easier for us all. So, here we are.
