Class act. Through and through. He's a very generous person, that goes without media attention. Proud he's in a Reds uniform, and I sincerely hope they can get him a ring. Nobody more deserving.

I think what he did for that young fan in San Diego last year (following his early ejection the day before) was one of his greatest moments of his career. A testament to Joey Votto the man who happens to be an MLB star athlete.

I've been watching baseball for nearly 60 years. This is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. There's so much to this. First and foremost the great Joey Votto but also the technology that allows this. I've gone from watching games on a tiny black and white TV with my Dad to this. God I love baseball....and technology.

If you don’t don’t Votto very well, he has one of the craziest stats. It took him til 2019(almost 7000 AB) to pop out to 1st base for the first time in his career.

Glad I got to see Joey play a couple of times at GABP. Gonna miss him when he retires and hope to see and hear him on future broadcasts. Great, fun dude

We need more of this in baseball. Having players micd up would be great. You could hear what all your fav players talk during games.

I wish mlb did this a lot more often. What the mlb needs is more inside coverage like this, the stuff you can’t get from anybody but the players themselves, while playing a game. It’s such a cool concept

He's one of the best of the best

This is a flat out ball player. Loved watching him for years. This is the guy you want starting for you for 15 years and showing the leadership. Absolute class act. And this is from a Stros’ fan. Miss watching him from the old NL central days. Hope he considers managing when he’s done.

Joey Votto is one of the best players easily in the last 20 years of baseball, absolutely criminal that he is playing for such a poorly ran franchise like the Reds. Wish he could get a World Series ring with Cincinnati but I doubt they’ll even win their own Division again before he calls it quits

I wish they would, but it'd be hard to find guys who could do it while on the field. Votto is suited for it since he's a veteran who is already great at talking to the media. It'd be hard to find younger guys who can play and have a decent conversation at the same time

As a "highlight on YT" follower of MLB, I just love this mic'd up vid. I'm guessing management of Votto may worry about him becoming distracted, but considering how experienced he is, apparently a non issue. MORE OF THIS PLEASE!

My favorite Red. Without a doubt a true class act. I couldn’t imagine Joey not being in a Reds uniform. He’s dedicated to this team & City. He’s a hard working guy who I think has plenty of more baseball left in the tank.

This is absolutely the best thing MLB has done is a long time. Votto is such a fans player, love watching him play, and having the focus on him you can see the fundamentals that are missed on regular TV. Just wish he was playing for the Redsox!!!

This interview was fantastic Votto seemed to rlly enjoy it (which is something that you don’t see alot when players are mic’d up) and the broadcasters were asking good questions which is also something that rarely happens during these interviews. Plus Ozzie was on first for most of the interview and he has a great personality just like Votto.

Don't know much about Votto, I'm an AL guy. That was really cool to watch.
