Awesome video! This was my fourth reunion. I left my NB at home in Cali, but was running in the B group in my Dad's red NC #41 with the white trunk and super-duper tall roll bar.

The sound is so good. The car sounds exotic and looks exotic, plus its the most fun car ever to drive. pretty shocking that it costs what it does. I would drop way more money then what it costs for this car 😂

what exhaust did you install? I have in my MX-5 2.0 ND I put Ulter with solenoid valve + speaker but it doesn't sound as good as yours.. indeed for my taste Ulter plays too soft

Oh that’s an interesting setup, I have not heard of it before but am interested in how it sounds. Mine is just the Goodwin Race Muffler. I love the tone and sound level is perfect.

I was there on Saturday in the grey MSM with black stripes. The parade laps were my favorite part. I wish I could have gotten a ride along for some full speed laps. What was your time on the G-Force challenge?

Sweet! Glad you had a good time, hopefully next year we can both have our cars on track for full speed laps. If I remember right, my time on the G-Force challenge was like 19.04 seconds

What are the qualifications to enter best stock? For example, does a GT with Brembos and global cup wheels still count as stock?

I’m not exactly sure, I would reach out to Miata Reunion directly. I’d imagine just those mods would still allow you to enter into stock class but I can’t say for sure

Wasn’t able to make it this year, but hoping to go one of these years. I have a ‘20 RF without a roll bar, so I’m not sure if they would let me on the track with it. Hoping to go next year though.

They should have the rules online but IIRC, they do allow ND and NC on track because they have factory rollover protection. Not every organization operates this way and I believe the ND I rode in didn’t have an aftermarket roll bar.

If I’d like to register my ND1 for next year where and when can I sign up? Living in Destin, FL would make for a fun little road trip up 🫡

Parade lap is included with cost of entry to the event. I don’t remember how much it was but all the info should be on their website

This event lined up just about the same time as Miatas at the Gap. We chose MATG and was rained out. I think we will do this one in 2023.

Yeah it definitely forced a lot of folks to have to choose one or the other! There was a small amount of rain for the reunion and MATG usually gets a bit of rain, this year wasn’t any worse than others. Both are awesome though!

You looked extremely tall in the shot in front of the two ND's. How tall are you?

Haha this always happens when I stand in front of them. I’m about 6’2”. It doesn’t help that my camera has a wide angle lense so it gets a slight fishbowl effect

I believe the total was around 500. There were 238 Miatas on track for the parade laps, which shattered Barbers previous record of 77 cars on the track at one time.

Stephan's Miata had to have an aftermarket exhaust also... didn't it?

It probably did, I can’t remember exactly. If anything it may have just had a muffler

Like, how did I fit in my car? Snuggly. I’d say being tall in a Miata is less of a concern than being ‘wide’, for lack of a better term. I’ve met many other tall drivers who have and love their Miatas.
