Cool! I was at the beach when they filmed that scene!

They should have kept this intro for the theatrical release, honestly would have made it so much better. It sets the stage for later. Plus that initial synthetic bass and sound would have been awesome

I don't know WHY some people don't like this film ... IT'S FRICKEN MICHAEL MANN . The man behind HEAT 💯

I know that the Theatrical Cut puts us straight into the action, but for this scene alone I prefer the Director’s Cut. So good!

i always preferred the unrated version than theater version

foda demais, eu assisti o filme varias vezes esse ano no hype pro gta, assim que a cena apareceu no trailer do gta eu peguei a refencia e fui avisar pro San kkk paguei ate o superchat. ainda bem que a cena tava fresca na minha mente. assiste o filme, vale muito a pena

Good under water footage, Good view of depths not shown for chimes on step level when increasing speed at R.P.M. level. Maybe a few custom made boats in Hawaii, Local out of California Retired from baseball Oakland A's catcher. still was manufacturing them in 1999 upon request funds available. Might be able to purchase one in Hawai for props or personal use to the producer or water specialist.

umm isn't the Mojo boat an MTI 42?? Why go to Hawaii when you've got 1/2 dozen of the fastest boat manufacturers on planet earth in Florida/East coast?

Theatrical is far better. For the intro and for the choice of music leading to the final shootout.

Why did they cut this scene from the HBO Max pay per view? It starts at the club on HBO

@@kadenwatt2033 this is the Directors Cut, the Theatrical cut starts immediately in the club. The cult following of this film prefers the theatrical cut, as it jumps you straight into the action. Doesnt hold your hand.
