Miami Heat Can Forget About Donovan Mitchell | Spida Extends With Cleveland | The Five Guys

Спорт

The Miami Heat are off to an uninspiring start to NBA free agency. Heat fans have been hoping their team could strike a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers to acquire Donovan Mitchell. Unfortunately for Miami, the Cavs star has signed an extension with Cleveland and committed long term. Hosts Ethan Skolnick and Alex Donno discuss where Pat Riley can turn to next.

Ethan questioned why we have do not assets while our rivals have a lot, we keep making the same mistakes and y’all never call it out We lost the greatest player of all time Lebron for nothing, we lost Wade for nothing. This is the literal week we’re losing Caleb for nothing, and a betting man would say we’re losing Jimmy for nothing in 360 days. Asset incompetence. Mentioning a Tyler Johnson contract dispute is laughable

Agree 100% Pat paid guys he should have moved when their value was good and let guys walk instead of looking to move them for assets.

Pat Riley groomed Herro to be the leading scorer and won't included in any major trades ( if there is) A streaky shooter who's offense was offset by his defense .He's effective to lead he second unit but pride got better of him and smallball lover Spo spoiled him

Its time to trade Jimmy and Herro for picks and tank for a young star! This build is over!

Letting go of Max, Gabe, and Caleb (potentially Highsmith) was a forced decision as they did not have the money or did not want to spend on keeping those players here. The issue with those decisions is how we let these guys walk away and manage to not get any assets for them. We knew Caleb was going to opt out since the beginning of this year. Instead of trying recoup some of his trade value, we let it play out for a first round embarrassment. We have assets. The FO has just chosen to let them go.

No to Levine. Trade Bulter now, and tank. Try and get Cooper Flagg. The problem is that when you develop undrafted guys they are pretty much guys that GM's didn't value then and don't now. Our starters are always hurt because Spo's small ball and therefore don't look or play as well as they should. We need to shake things up from top to bottom. It starts with Riley.

I really don't see why everyone is so upset about the roster. Miami will be fine, and I know for sure that Miami will finish top 3-4 this season. Miami will be healthier and a lot better this year. We will beat all those so-called top teams and then make it back to the finals.

Which team would be interested in trading for Jimmy? It’s a one year rental so we would not get much back I think. But trading Jimmy, getting Trae who is only 25 and surrounding him with great defensive players would be a good move for the future I think. A young core of Trae, Jaquez, Bam, Jovic and Ware is pretty solid

For some odd reason , the entire Heat podcast community seems stagnant like the Heat . Not once have a Heat Podcaster suggested anything daring , like , say , trading Bam ! Let's be honest , Bam is not an elite basketball player . There's nothing in his game that is unstoppable . Last season , his midrange game abandoned him and there were times when he couldn't make free throws . Admit it Bam has maxed out his potential as a player , his presence on the team is holding the Heat back . He's not a stretch player at the 5 or 4 position . And at this point in his career , it would be ludicrous to switch Bam , it never would work . The Heat Big 3 is in football terms nothing but a bust !

Ethan, you always say the Dame trade wasn’t miami’s fault because Joe didn’t want to work with the front office. However, wasn’t it reported the front office only offered tyler and picks. Why would joe ever agree to that trade ?
