    I have one of these 10k it has held up really well. Had it for 4 year and never took it off. The one I have is a 5.5mm 24” long good chain, reminds me of the old school Gucci puff links that are making a come back but made way way better then those. Never seen the point in spending 2500 5k on a gold chain when you get the same look at a fraction of the price with this peace.

    I saw a chain on eBay, semi-hollow 14k 2.44mm and 26", but the weight stated 2.45g. I notice yout 6mm there is >24g. Not sure if I'm doing correct math conversion, but this tells me the eBay one must be hollow, and not semi-hollow, yeah? Thanks for helping me out. I'm only a year into learning about gold jewelry and about 3 months in to shopping for one. Bless.

    It is most likley completely hollow. For the chain to be only 2 grams it would not be a good choicr to ourchase it because it would be so light and fragile that it could snap easily. I advice that you save up and maybe get a solid 10k chain.

    MARCOS I bought my 26 inch 14k semi filled chain like a week after that. I have been wearing it everyday and I have had no problems. . people over react with the semi and solid. Yes the solid is heavier but let’s be real. The semi is basically the same just a little lighter. The links were made perfect, I wasn’t disappointed at all. Made in Italy and made by hand. I definitely over thought the whole “solid gold -semi fill”. To avoid premature wear I just don’t wear it at work or in the pool. Semi chains now that I have one are the same as solid and you will get the same life expectancy. Just take cares of it and you’ll have it years to come . The best place for great quality semi filled gold is Bijoux Medusa . Best gold prices on there you’ll find around my guy.!

    @Mike Klein When you buy 24kt gold. You are paying the market price of what it's worth the day of, as well as the labour involved to make the piece (jewelers capital gain.. the margin in which you can bargain). Retrospectively, when you resell it (24KT) you are more likely to get an amount closest to what you originally paid for. When buying anything less, that will not be the case. I've bought alot of 10-14kt gold in my lifetime. When you resell you will get money. . but it will only be a fraction of what you originally paid, as pawn shops/jewlers/gold buyers will only buy it back at "scrap price" most of the time.

  • @TechFlexx

    @TechFlexx

    @Mike Klein lol relax guy 🤣 howd this conversation steer this way? Are you okay? In response to your statement : no It does not decrease.. gold content will always be gold content.. of course you can remelt it / cut it to get back the pure parts. But... in reference to my original comment, and what I've been talking about.. I am strictly speaking on RESELL (value) of karat jewelry. If you buy a 14 kt gold chain for 1800. I promise you will not get anything close to that value upon reselling. Also, contrary to popular belief. India, China, and several places in the Middle East ex Dubai Egypt, actually * exclusively* wear 24kt. That sounds like quite alot of people to me 🤷‍♂️. Anything less than 24k is out of the question for them. Yes, 24kt is way softer, malleable, so they are not as suitable for daily wear and tear. It's all up to the buyer, they have the money and they're in the driver's seat.

  • @TechFlexx

    @TechFlexx

    @Mike Klein Go ahead, pay , melt your 10kt or whatever down. Then resell it to someone that isn't a shop/jeweler/pawn since you obviously possess more than half a brain cell. If you breakeven, and in addition realize a profit margin.. Then hats off to you guy cuz I gotta move where you are then

  • @TechFlexx

    @TechFlexx

    @Mike Klein all the jewelry I ownbesides 1 chain is 24kt, also I'm chinese and I've been back home, and have friends from all the other countries I mentioned above - those countries do not wear anything less. 10-14 is more common in North America, while 18kt is more common in Europe ex Italy. And lol playing along with your explanation, if we both took our $1800 chains to resell and mine was 24 and yours 14. You would not get as much back. MOST DEFINITELY not. And in closing, no one can really break even and get their money back.. because you will always be losing out on labour which is different for every piece out there depending on what and who is involved to craft it from raw gold to its jewelry form. Which is why I originally commented in the first place. Bc the gentlemen in the video made a statement about selling it to get the money back. Which is a highly inflated overstatement. But, to each their own, enjoy your 14kt gold 🤣🤣🤣 I'm sure the nickel, silver, copper, palladium, and everything NOT gold in there cut with actual gold will do you good. But do some research, I am not disagreeing with what you say. Just re articulating what I originally meant to say because clearly you lack comprehension.
