Miami Bike Ride : Downtown to Miami Beach, Surfside, Bal Harbour & Sunny Isles Beach in January 2023

A bicycle ride from Downtown Miami to Sunny Isles Beach via the MacArthur Causeway, Miami Beach, Surfside, Haulover Park, and Bal Harbour. Once I get to Miami Beach, I pretty much stick to Collins Avenue going northbound. Along the way, I saw gorgeous ocean views, palm trees, hotels, and people having fun in general. I also stop at Haulover Inlet in Bal Harbour and at Haulover Park before ending at Sunny Isles Beach.

Miami could do with some barriers along the stretch of highway where you can see the cruise ships. It's a bit scary for both pedestrians and cyclists . The E bike is definitely a great way to get around the city . This was fun and you handled the tricky traffic and pedestrian with ease . Great riding with you.

Miami needs a lot of infrastructure improvements in order to be a great place to ride a bike or walk around!

How many red lights did you run in this video? When you're in the road you're supposed to obey the laws of the road.

I ran many red lights. You’re supposed to obey the rules of the road but it is social norm as a cyclist to proceed if you do not obstruct traffic or put yourself or others in harm’s way. The police do not usually enforce red light violations against cyclists. There were many drivers in this video who drove faster than the speed limit, and pedestrians ignoring traffic control devices too but I didn’t see them get cited.

Nice video Ken. Not sure if you knew, but electric bikes, scooters etc are not allowed in Parks and Boardwalks in Miami Beach. They are signs all around. I guess it’s because they’ve had quite a few complaints about accidents with pedestrians.
Action Kid was reading about 20 mph, those other cars had to going at least 40 mph.
