I don't know if you've never seen any other police videos in your life, but I've seen countless videos where the cops let suspects know their body camera is on. Hell I've had officers tell me that during traffic stops before. That's very common. The rest...obviously not.

It's knowing that he's a high visibility individual and everything is going to get media attention, public attention, corporate attention. So it's one of those calls where it can be smooth as butter with no issues, or it can become a huge problem that the department has to end up dealing with for months. Its not likehe didnt comply, his security approached firstand they had to explain it to them. These cops were being professional and conducted their jobs accordingly; they were respectful and held themselves to the highest standard, just as every officer should. Saying the police would do this to the average joe, and wouldnt in this circumstance due to his popularity, is well beyond ignorant. Pride would have only caused more issues, a real police officer seeks peace, not containerization cause your ego is hurt. If you allow a confrontation to grow someone could die, or get severely hurt.
