I loved Mia's roles in A Cure For Wellness, Marrowbone, and the Suspiria remake. Those movies really put her on my radar. Anya Taylor Joy was also in Marrowbone, which elevates that film even more. Mia is a phenomenal actress and I am super excited to see Pearl and Maxxxine. As a side note, I always felt like Rooney Mara in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake was miscast. Not because she did a bad job or anything like that, she just kind of seemed like she didn't want to make the movie. Juxtaposed against Katie Cassidy who was one of the few actors in the film who "understood the assignment", Rooney's performance falls flat. This is pure speculation, but I have to wonder if casting Mia Goth in that role while she was an actual teen (and not an adult playing a teen like most of that cast did) would have worked out better. Something tells me that Mia could have matched Heather Langenkamp's energy in the original movie much better. Again, this is pure speculation. Rooney is a spectacular actress who shines in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Nightmare Alley. Both actresses have a similar look and vibe (to me anyway) and since Mia has seemed to embrace her Scream Queen title fully with the X trilogy, the question randomly popped into my mind. GIVE THE WOMAN HER DAMN OSCAR ALREADY!!!! i am just completely blown away with mia's performances as maxine and old and young pearl. i think her performance as younger pearl is exceptional, she really breathed life into the character. i thought pearl in x was an interesting horror villain, and the prequel allowed us to understand pearl as a character better. her performance as younger pearl just adds so much to the character, so much context, making her one of the most interesting and iconic horror villains.

Let's be realistic, Mia was amazing but the snobby Oscars rarely award horror. Nobody has won Lead Actress for a horror performance since Kathy Bates in Misery over 30 years ago. Mia will do well to get a nomination.

I was surprise to look back at it again and realize it was 8 minutes. If someone asked me after watching how long it was I would answer "like 2 minutes, tops". It flows so naturally

i truly admire that she actually takes time to think about the questions. she doesn’t find the need to immediately start speaking, she thinks her answers through. it’s very comforting

She stole the show in Suspiria, Marrowbone was such a great horror drama movie as well and in X she just shined, I'm glad she finally got the leading roles!

Not for me, she was not able to show everything she could in this film, the film itself did not give her that space, but now after these recent films, I realize that she could have been the main one in suspiria instead of the door that many call dakota.

I love her so much. She is excellent in X and especially Pearl. Awards worthy. I cannot wait to see MaXXXine and whatever else she does next.

You can absolutely see how Mia Goth has been labeled as an angel for Shia LeBeouf. He said when he was getting out of his long term treatment/rehab, she was the only one who truly reached out to him, congratulating him and wishing him well, forgiving him for things done in their past relationship and loving him unconditionally. He literally said in an interview “Where no one else wanted anything to do with me, which was completely understandable, she was there, offering me everything she had when I wasn’t in any position to offer her anything. I was a broken, unemployed man without any promise of being abled to provide for her and none of that mattered to her. She’s the brightest light and I’m beyond fortunate that she has given me back my life and even provided me another life when we had our daughter.”

Mia Goth is such a phenomenal actress. Glad to see her finally getting mainstream attention. Also her voice is so soothing wow 😌

Awesome! The monologue in "Pearl" was incredibly long and I kept waiting for the camera to turn away to give her a break, but when it didn't I wondered if part of it was improvised. But to do it five or six times? Wow! The ending shot is amazing and wonderfully shows how she (and we?) smile at the world as it closes in on us.

I love how sweet she is and not egotistical or stuck up at all. I love this woman. A true lady.

Honestly i feel that if your first movie is Nymphomaniac no other role or movie is scary. Its the true baptism of fire of acting. The other young actress the leading lady of nymphomaniac was also great but she sadly has not enjoyed the success of Mia.

"sell out" wtf, if she wants to be on a franchise marvel, etc there is no problem, if she is in a franchise doesn't mean she stops picking other roles, Kate Winslet is on franchises and non franchise, Robert Pattison too, Mia Goth can too. She can be on the A24s, HBOs, and Marvel at the same time if she wants.

Absolute rising star. All her roles have been so interesting and she is versatile. A really good character actor who will have a long career.

mia goth’s career is so interesting to me. the fact her acting debut was nymphomaniac is bold but the fact she was only eighteen is insane

Looking at her characters and then seeing how she really is for the first time is mind blowing. She seems so sweet with how she says 'gosh' and did not expect het real voice to sound that way.

Best actress that’s come out in the last decade imo. She’s phenomenal and her filmography is just getting better and better

She had a very little role on Nymphomaniac and it's only in Vol. 2. Where the story actually takes momentum.

I feel her personality is as interesting as the characters she plays ❤

i am fully rooting for this fantastic young woman. she works hard.

I love Criterion Collection, Mubi, A24, Janus Films etc. and I have to say, I truly do think she's the best of our time. The way she cried when she was rejected by the panel..I don't know, my god it didn't look like she was acting. I believe her, the losing yourself in the role.

Just finished Pearl last night. It was incredible. Ti West is one of my favorite new horror directors and these two movies he made are giving me hope for the future of horror. Mia is frightening in this series and I can’t wait to see more!!!!

More of this, please! So wonderful listening to women discuss the work in this manner.

give her the best actress oscar already for that 9 min monologue scene alone. Mia Goth is a rising star.

This was the first interview I saw of hers after watching X/Pearl and being blown away by her acting. It shocked me to realize she was British and had such cute voice and down to earth aura on interviews. I retroactively checked her filmography and was so impressed by her commitment to her roles, never caught her slacking once even when the movies were a mixed bag. No wonder when checking critics' reviews of those movies more often than not they praised her performance, even call her "a scene stealer".

Mia didn't just acted in the movie as some actors usually do, but also she participated of the criative process of the character and the direction, which is even more impressive. Mia Goth is phenomenal.

She would be an amazing voice actor! I really hope she does an animated role at some point.

As for Mia and Shia, it seems like he's trying to maintain a healthy relationship with her as both their Wikipedia pages indicate that they are back together. I'm assuming that they are trying to make things work for their child. After his interview with Jon Bernthal, I think (and hope) that Shia is making a real effort to correct the mistakes of his past and grow as a person. He has an upcoming trial set for next year regarding his previous relationship with FKA Twiggs, so who knows what could happen at this point. Hopefully Mia's career continues to flourish despite the setbacks her partner is dealing with.
