As you can tell from my Mia dp, I'm a Mia simp. ^^; I think it's mainly because it's pretty much a direct copy of an existing official art for her 27 year old self that makes me think that. A really intringuing first part for sure. I forgot how much more impulsive Mia used to be in her younger years, so that was fun to see against Blaise's "no nonsense" bullying. I'm looking forward to when Lana makes an appearance in this series.

Ok, Debastian you decided to go with everything, and I love it! The "relationship" between Debeste and Grossberg seems to me to be a very good representation of the AA world, with prosecutors always having the advantage, either by resources or by the same judicial system that is in favor of these. While defense attorneys are seen as nothing more than nuisances, irrelevant, and cowards. Marvin is an interesting character to me. The most frequent question I ask myself is why did Marvin decide to hire Mía under his tutelage? To keep an eye on her? Guilt? Or simply because he saw the potential in Mia. Maybe we will never know, but at least we will see what your interpretation of this question is. Still, another great video!

@@maceika1093 I think it's just the whole mess of the plot pushing the characters and not the characters creating the plot. Zak Gramarye just had to act selfishly so that he wouldn't reveal the whole truth to Phoenix, Phoenix had to act dumb and egotistical towards Klavier and become hell bent on winning, the Judge had to not listen to Phoenix's reasoning despite their long history... You see the pattern. The characters HAD to do stuff so that Phoenix would get disbarred. It didn't come naturally through the characters. I like Apollo Justice as a game, but Phoenix's disbarment is very weakly executed unfortunately

OH MAN this is getting good- whenever you get a chance to start this series back up I'm going to re-watch this series from beginning to end!! Can't wait to see more of Mia Fey's law school years.

Hmmm I wonder if the prosecutor will be Lana... she's only a year or two older but it's definitely feasible that she started law school earlier than Mia did. Like someone else said, you've already got me hooked as much as Lana Skye's Parole! Also I love the spritework you did for Mia, she looks fantastic. Characterization is also on point as always-the whole video is just *mwah*. Excited for whatever you do next!

I typically don’t comment, but for only the first part, I can say that this was a wild ride, (in a very good way) and you’ve already got me hooked. First off, I really like the interaction at the start with Mia and Morgan. You totally put lots of effort into those sprites and the writing and it definitely shows Morgan’s bad intentions regarding the title of master, even back then! I also love the dynamics between characters that haven’t interacted much on screen or simply haven’t at all; (Byrne & Yew, Blaise & Grossberg, and Hammond there too!), it was just great. Mia trying to set things straight and actually learn things is very reasonable, but trying to confront Blaise with stuff like this is practically a death wish 😂, which makes it all the more intriguing when we see how Mia will have to deal with the consequences of this. I do wonder who this final year student is 👀, and I’m totally looking forward to the other parts to this! Great job as always, Debastian!

The video is really good, especially with some of the cameos. The one thing I don't really agree with is Maya's reaction to Mia leaving the village being more upset about it because I feel that counterdicts the anime where when Mia directly tells Maya that she wants her to be the next master Maya takes it with an "I'll make you proud" (Hear the Waves of Turnabout)

This 's a 10-year-old Maya as she appears in this vid. So she's younger and more immature. My line of thought when writing this script was that her mindset could have changed with the years and that she turned to the "I'll make you proud" mindset later on. Not to mention, I don't 100% follow the anime when it comes to lore :p (only thing I follow is the Miles Edgeworth raised by Manfred lore)

Heck since becoming a fan of Ace Attorney since March 2010 and playing the newer games since then, I'm in the middle of replaying the latter games via the recently released Apollo Justice Trilogy on Nintendo Switch. I actually had too much fun in the Museum section of the game that I lost sleep and haven't even given the art gallery a thorough look-see Ace Attorney is such an amazing series

I can confirm opening ceremony speeches are indeed a circus show, and that alot of professors are like Mr. Debeste here... Thank God I graduated lol. Anyways, trauma aside, that was a great video as always! Didn't expect things to escalate like this, and there's a lot of familiar faces, this is VERY similar to typical Shonen anime first episode, which is a great thing, I'd fully watch a long anime following Mia's academy adventures, My Attorney Academy lol, Blaise is a great antagonist here, I can see Marvin giving Mia some tips next episode, and I already know who she is facing, and it will be awesome! So far, this is a fantastic start. I like how this also established how Mia met Grossberg as well. It’s interesting to see that Mia’s goals for becoming a defense attorney seem to be at odds with the way Themis Academy educates new attorneys. Blaise is always an absolute treat and it does make sense for him to be in this position considering his then Chief Prosecutor status. Wonder who else we will run into during this series since plenty of characters who are around Mia’s age at this time do make sense to be around at this point.

I was thinking of a long video too, but as I was writing it I slowly realized what Mia was doing and into what chaos she was about to plunge herself by acting cheeky to Blaise, so I could no longer make it just one video xD

*Long comment warning, and spoilers for Dual Destinies in addition to the games already warned in the video* I have only one thing to say about those Psyche-Locks. _I knew it._ I told you it had not slid past me that her magatama was glowing back in that post. ❤ I love how you incorporated so many characters from so many games, while keeping accurate to their personalities. I _absolutely_ did not expect to see Yew. It's also jarring (in a way that works) just how much practical power Blaise holds if even full-fledged lawyers can't speak up or talk back to him. I wonder if Blaise's sheer influence over the academy is somehow connected to Means holding his own unscrupulous philosophy. Maybe he really just went and took Blaise as a sort of role model. Lastly, I like that there's a slight implication with Morgan that her change into a power hungry schemer was gradual rather than sudden; the way the conversation went, and the way Mia's thoughts played out, it sounded like Morgan was conflicted, rather than already being firmly on the side of wanting to seize power for her branch. Just another demonstration of your exceptional writing skills. ❤ PS: Oh yeah, and the detail with Mia appearing in the outro was really nice.

Always love reading extensive comments :D Well, since Mia had already used her Magatama on Dahlia, I thought "what would stop her from having it on all the time?" Warning: expect to see it used even more in the next parts ;) Yew sort of came with Byrne, I just couldn't not include them as a set xD As for Morgan, I was quite torn on whether to make it ambiguous or clear what she thinks, because she has already kicked Dahlia and Iris out in the past for not accomplishing her dreams (so she pretty much always was power hungry and bitter for losing the title), but then again I decided to mix it with "yes but she had calmed down until Pearl was born and her hopes were renewed". Let's see if this works 😅 Glad you enjoyed watching mate 💪

Yeah I haven't worked on it because I got burnt out after the effort I put to finish my other series, Lana Skye's Parole. I don't know when I'll make the next part yet, but probably during this summer

I’m wondering if Aristotle Means will show up. Other than that, love this series and looking forward to more

well, considering that it is Ace Attorney, a game that has multiple interesting well written character's. there is a huge majority that enjoy some content about characters that we havent really know much about. keep up the good work mate.@@debastiansebeste

Honestly at this point I'd be pretty interested to see your take on a case with Marvin, Calisto, or Ray as the defense. It's kind of a shame we don't really get to see much, if any, of how they defend in the series and the little bits here have got me interested.

The problem is that something like this would require a whole playable case to show how they function as attorneys more clearly to the players. I doubt people would be interested in just watching a couple hours of Ray or Grossberg defending a whole case in court without being able to play as them 😅

I hate videos longer than 30 minutes and I do not intend to make my viewers go through the tediousness of having to watch a 2-3 hour long video :p Parts make everything better for both the viewers and me ;)

Just thought of a idea not sure if this will work but I'm gonna send it anyways- Mia is panicking since she has no clue what is going on so she decides to go to a library to practice law her own way. She bumps into either Eddie Fender (aka Raymond Shields) or Lana Skye. They decide to chat, and help each other out. So when Mia does defend she is now ready.....or something along those lines- idk if it will work but yee

I don't want to discredit you, but Calisto was planned to be included from the moment that Byrne appeared in the community poll xD (the two definitely had to go as a team) (not to mention, not many defense attorneys with clean sprites were available at that time, lol)

Young Morgan has existed since Dahlia's Life and Crimes video as some extra poses for old Morgan, but yeah, now she legit exists as a separate character too.

Hey Debastian Sebeste, since you made the video of what would happen if Zak Gramarye got Kristoph Gavin disbarred and showed the aftermath with Kristoph Gavin planning to kill Zak Gramarye for revenge. I think I would like to see what would happen if Barok objected to Genshin’s ring as evidence of him being Klint’s killer and the notorious professor because the sharp rings would have torn Klint’s throat to shreds yet there was no tissue damage detected in the autopsy report. I imagine that Mael Stronghart would probably try to have Barok killed for defying him, just like how Kristoph probably wants to kill Zak Gramarye, but I don’t know if Stronghart would have it be where he has Barok killed and tries to pin it on Genshin or he has Genshin killed and Barok is arrested for the murder of Genshin. That would be up to you to decide how he tries to go through with it if you make the video.

Well done! Love the start to this, althought I do have a question regarding Robert Hammond. Was he actually still a lawyer after the DL-6 case? I thought he was shunned and never came back? I might be remembering wrong

There's a huge confusion about Hammond. Canon lore says that after DL6 he left the Grossberg offices and never came back (but he still was an attorney, he never lost his badge) Canon lore ALSO states that he and Mia worked together under Grossberg and Mia hated Hammond's ethics. Now you might ask. Since Mia joined Grossberg well when she was an adult, years after DL6, how did she find Hammond there if he had left long ago? Chaos. So I decided that Hammond simply never left Grossberg's office because I want him to have a good interaction with Mia eventually

Oh, this is brilliant. Who is Mia going to face? And how is she going to survive being in Blaise's crosshairs? I can't wait to see more!

mlp ace attorney EOJ case 3 came out yesterday and this came out today my weekend have been awesome

This short series looks good. I wonder... That prosecutor whom Mia will face, will he be Edgey? It should match, time wise. Klavier was too young at that time. Now that I think about it, getting Franziska von Karma fighting against Mia would be crazy, I hope it's her!

Okay hear me out I have a Great idea for you on who should be the prosecutor in this case its Tristan Turnbull he didnt appeared in Ace Attorney Games however he did appeared in Anime adaptation you know the episode from Train Incident where Avery Richman makes a court inside the train and all well he should definetly be the one who goes against with Mia Fey he was also once a Equal against Edgeworth till Edgewroth defated him and probly had to study the year again this also finally give this man a spotlight like trust me nobody mentions or talk bout this guy existed in Ace Attorney way worst than Valerie so yea Tristan Turnbull should be the opponent that mia face against

There's two problems with this notion though: 1) Tristan Turnbull doesn't exist, as in there are no sprites for him (at least none that I've found) 2) I've already well established in my head who the opposing senior prosecutor Mia will face is going to be, and it's not Turnbull xD

Glad you enjoyed it! Well, as I've told others before, I'm not a big fan of what ifs where there's only a simple lawyer-swapping, without enough plot justification for it to happen. It's not really my cup of tea 😅

No idea, hence why I didn't show it in her dialogue. But since she grew her whole life in a backwards clan-led village away from the city, it's safe to assume that at least during her first years in the city she could have a different accent compared to the city folk

Well, I don't remember Edgeworth ever being called "the best" during his studies at the law school, that's for sure :p EDIT: Also Edgeworth is younger than Mia, he couldn't have been a senior since they shared their first case :p
