That shot with Tigerstar and the dogs is gorgeous! I love how you styled the dogs, they almost look like mythological beasts - if I was living in the Warriors universe I’d be super scared of them lol

AH thank you so much for the compliments and the interesting question! Always happy to talk about my art process!! I used no references for this - it sort of just spawned, you know? But there were a couple underlying inspirations, mainly the technique of woodcut (the limited and striking color palette, big emphasis on positive and negative forms, rough but somewhat detailed and black lines and blocky shapes). I think specifically those old vintage propaganda posters were a source of inspiration, as well as an actual woodcut I did of Tigerstar last year! Link here: twitter.com/st_rbiter/status/1777236628731281700?t=GAYFhIH5GcGtyomNHcQSmA&s=19 The halo is also an element from the woodcut that I reused! As for the dogs, as some have already pointed out, I wanted to give them a mythological and beastial feel! If I had to pick out a specific artist, maybe Johan Egerkrans? Look up his book "The Undead" - now that I look at the cover again, the similarities are uncanny, haha. But yeah, always been a huge fan of his stylized shapes and grainy textures! Thanks again for the fun question! Hope my answer gave some insight to my process!
