Sravan Reddy man.. i would forget about updates if i get involved with vivo or oppo.. on a side note. just use your phone as long as it fulfills your need. dont focus on updates , they dont do much on skinned android anyways.

Hi Ranjit, first of all, thanks for the review. Your reviews are so professional covering all aspects which I really like. I am shooting this question as I plan to buy Mi A1. As the Android O for Mi A1 seems rolled out, do you still feel the camera of the Mi A1 still face issues in low light or does it do any better?

The only thing I hate in MI A1 is it's front camera it's just 5mp

Xiaomi hyped the camera of this device and projecting it as the best mid range smartphone considering camera. But the reality lies behind the focal length of lens used in primary camera setup. Wide vision lens has aperture f/2.2 and telephoto lens has aperture f/2.6.This is the main reason the camera struggles in low and artificial lighting conditions. Only portrait mode that too in natural lighting is good. So guys ,please don't just get over-happy on this device. Even my friends say that mi a1 having dslr like set-up. It is like day-dreaming.Consider all the pros and cons and then decide.

Yash Nandawat They are probably scaring you to choose another smartphone.. Sometimes Shops usually does this because they earn little commission on Phones like Xiaomi.. I am using a Redmi Note 4 & I have no issue with it till date.. It's strongly built too.. Similarly I think Mi A1 has good build too because I trust Ranjit's expert opinion on it.. If you are still scared, buy a tempered screen protector & good case when you buy it (Necessary for every phone in my opinion).. I know Xiaomi's phones for a long time & you don't have nothing to worry.. No One can beat Xiaomi as it makes best Value for Money phones

Beni Bean Go for Mi a1. I've tested the camera of honor 6x, its really good but the potrait mode is too artificial Build quality of both devices is on par but I liked a1 more wrt look and feel(black variant). Honor 6x has 2 cons - 4g+2g standby and no 5ghz wifi. A1 definately will have more android updates, 6x won't probably get Oreo.

Still photography in day-light, Honor 6x is likely to be equal or better. In low light most of the small aperture smartphones are very disappointing. If you shoot videos, and especially slow-motion, Honor 6x is slightly disappointing. Other than that, Honor 6x is lot better VFM.
