Arc shot works wonderfully on him btw Your godly aiming skill is truly a sight to behold. Even during pitfall trap his head is all over the damn place. Legit hate how huge his HP and hitboxes are. Hip tackle is the worst. HE BLOODY SPAMMED IT 3 TIMES IN A ROW

I can't find a in depth review of the hbh auto reload mechanic, like the comparison between the base reload and auto,the difference in dps, and good weapons with auto reload.

Looks like you jacked your sensitivity up. Any particular reason or just trying to have more ability to keep up with erratic monsters?

I wonder how a dragon piercer build would fare, since jho isn't always a walking weakspot like bagelboi. It's kind of a gimmicky build that I'm not a big fan of, but sometimes it's fun to take it out against the long bois. Still waiting for a spread shots gem so I don't have lavasioth greaves glued to any bow set that isn't dragon piercer, figured it might be worth giving a go until it falls into my lap and I inevitably switch to elemental bows again.

CalangoPI _ Yeah, I figured as much. Noticed his tail is horribly resistant to damage, especially while enraged when I was trying to take it off with slicing shots. They made a lot of his attacks faster as well, except his breath is kinda pathetic and spreads out slowly instead of being a constant beam like it used to. Does not really seem like you'd get very many openings regardless

Deviljho doesn't have a very high KO threshold, does he? Great video. I remember how in previous games, I always panicked whenever a deviljho showed up.

I used tobi as a recommendation from intuitive on stream, but looking back, im not sure if its much stronger than jho bow....I may use vaal though because i'm not running affinity booster so the negative affinity of jho bow could hurt. I dont know jho very well still

Phemeto i have the Jho bow and it out damages the hazak velos by 2 points more or less (using your standard crit ele set). Though with the Jho bow I only have 2 crit boost and 2 drag (caps at 2). But yeah as soon as affinity booster runs out hazak will outdmg it cause it crits more often (with 2 aff augments). Still love the Jho bow tho even tho the design doesn't make sense 😅 Great run btw 😊 Edit: I didn't know you already had a video on the jho bow. Whoopsie :D

In previous games, his weakness to thunder and dragon was exactly the same on every hitzone. Though I don't know if that changes once he enters rage mode.

I say Tobi simply because much higher affinity which is more chance to crit. Considering the weakness to both thunder and dragon is the same.

Noob here. I started on Light bowgun (will probably switch to heavy) and found I play better with double on long range and one recoil supp. mod. (Because of hammer/horn players) But does stacking 2 dup. Jewels work? Or is it myth? I've had to use crisis and tip toe jewel so I don't get blasted to the cart. Any ideas on a good all round LBG?

Hey phemeto, how many tempered jho have you already hunted? And what drops (streamstone drops) did you get? I had a very hard time hunting this guy, and i only killed him (tempered) only once and i got a lance streamstone. For me a tempered pickle is harder than tempered elder.

Will you try using the Pickled Lance? I've been slowly getting into using the Lance and when saw the design for Pickles' I had to give it a whack. So far I like it aside from the negative affinity, also I'm a little more used to attacks with bigger punches because I main the GL.

Bazelgeuse - Ive been trying to beat him with pickle lance and i may go Hazak lance instead for more damage, it looks cool but also looks like an eaten apple core

Frederick Holyfield 19 times? Glad you kept at it! I beat him 1st time but he carted me twice. Hell of a fight. I’m gonna try some other weapons against him. It’s so tough to hit his weak spots w/ the bow in his enraged tempered state. He switches directions so damn much.

Play some tps and fps, you'll get used to it. Practice on some big headed monsters to small ones.

I'm a nobody so some people probably won't care what I say. But It's about learning the monsters animations for each attack, and aiming accordingly.

Alright, I've watched this video a ton since tempered jho is dropping on PC tonight. I can see that your set is the kadachi bow, rath chest b, odogaron coil b, and teo gloves b, but I can't tell what your head or legs are. Also, what augments are on the bow? And what gems?

Damn! It took me around 35mins with my GL build.

How did you start the quest with lots of health and stamina?

Dragonproof mantle + hazak velos is better than tobi bow? Since the mantle increases Dragon damage and pickle is also weak to dragon

The Dragoonproof Mantle boosts Dragon damage by 1.2x but will not go over the cap. You'll be better off just using 3-4 Dragon Jewels and Rocksteady/Evasion/Impact mantles.

Don't blame you for capping. Speed run or not, this dude takes a bit. Also raised a question while responding to certain comments. If you max out the elemental value on your Vaal Bow and then use the Dragonproof Mantle, can your dragon attack still go up or is it still technically maxed?

I wondered the same thing and I tested it on the pole and the damage is still capped. Would have been nice for it to break the cap while the mantle was active but oh well

I can never aim that good. His head is all over the place

I need help. I use bow, but when i try to hit the body it only gives me low damage like 8 or 10 and with white color. It only gives me a little bit more damage when i hit the head. What's the problem?

So I basically use the elemental crit build you showed in your previous video, but I Been using the Vaal hazak bow to fight deviljho, and it looks like I get about an extra 10% damage on my crits from what I see here. Any reason your using the Kadachi bow instead? Not discrediting you tho, you beat him in 5 and I average about 10 to 12 lol. Nice run.

Agreed. Tobi has way more affinity than Vaal, especially if you Augment it as well. Green Weenie is equally weak to both Dragon and Thunder. You can use Vaal and the Dragon Mantle, but that will eventually wear off. That also poses a question.

Hi Phemeto. Do you think it's worth to replace Normal Up/Spread Up with Ballistics when facing some non-stop moving monsters?

key ich Why "replace" when you can "add"? Just use the standard: Rathsoul b Rath b Teostra b Odogaron b lavasioth / diablos nero template and you can easily gem in normal/spread (whatever you choose as legs), mighty bow AND ballisitics together with lots of crit and of course elemental crit (just put the element specific jewels in your bow slot(s) )

if you're eating shrooms for buffs, just do that right at the beginning then switch out. No need to keep it during the fight.

Personally I feel like Jho's movements are too quick and erratic for pierce to really shine, and since they fixed the glitch that allowed you to shoot pierce outside of its normal range it lost a lot of versatility.
