I think in the lore, Scorned Magna are really maidenless as the mates deemed unattractive of a Magna with scarred eye and a broken horn instead they went studying the blade thus its attacks really sort of LS

@@aninass Deviants and variants are essentially the same thing. It's just their upbringing that separates them. With variants mutating naturally, and deviants mutating through hunter confrontation- making them tougher opponents for hunters. Zinogre becomes ed level after becoming a deviant, but magnamalo was already that level from the start. Deviant Zinogre = Magnamalo Deviant Zinogre < Variant Magnamalo

Personally I feel that zinogre and magnamalo could tie and the same would go too scorned and thunderlord sense I feel as there like low elder dragon level plus at the beginning it almost looked like he had a chance plus I feel it would work nice if magnamalo zinogre and Lunagaron all tied with each other

Scorned is well above his pay grade and thunderlord is at best on par with a base elder like kushy. Scorned fights mid tiers like mal

I really appreciate what Capcom does for Zinogre with the cutscenes. I still remember the intro to the Grinding Lands where we see Zinogre fighting Rathalos AND Diablos for the Hunter. Of course it was not out of a sense of protecting them, Zinogre looked as if they said “be on your way, they are mine.” Now in Sunbreak we see another great cutscene of Zinogre going against a level 10 threat (shown in the Hunter Notes) monster like a badass once more. Yet, it seemed the noble beast of electricity could not defeat the “Ultimate Malice.”

Finally..this is the type of variant I hoped for for Magnamalo..now it truly is an elder dragon level threat…and something even the allmother could reasonably struggle against..thanks capcom for not forgetting that rise was a Japanese inspired game first..it’s arms are now katana god I can’t wait to fight it!!!

Assuming this is a Zinogre's first encounter of what's essentially a deviant(I think?) monster, Zinogre actually held up pretty well against it. Even though we knew Magna will win, the dev still went out of their way to not let Zinogre go down without a decent fight. So this cutscene gave me mixed feelings

for me it's a message from the developers "in mode we have found better than you it is to go to the 2nd rank" for mh rise he wanted a fanged wyvern better than the zinogre it's like that saw the light of day the magnamalo and I find it a little disgusting on their part not to have exploited the basic zinogre in ED level montser tier like the rajang the deviljho or the bazelgeuse because in an old intro cinematic of the village of Yukumo in MH Portable 3rd the Zinogre was facing the Amastu which is an ED the developers preferred put it on the same level as monsters like the rathalos or diablos and we wanted only the magnamalo to be able to fight with the ED I hope that in MH6 it are going to change the booster a little more and that it will have turf wars with ED like the kushala or the teostra for me the zinogre is a ED level tier monster like the rajang the magnamalo the bazelgeuse and the deviljho

Scorned Magnamalo is a Variant just like other variants such as Frostfang Barioth or Savage Deviljho. Deviants were a one-time (yet as of now) thing and were supposedly "super mutated" monsters, which puts them almost near the level of upper tier Elders such as Amatsu or Alatreon. The definitions are still blurred though, technically all Deviants are Variants but it isn't clear what sets a Deviant apart from a Variant.

@@stygiandragon3865 Capcom has since been trying to reduce the boundaries between what is considered as a "Black Dragon" tier, as we can see the so called "Black Dragons" got a proper Hunter Book icon in Iceborne. Also, Amatsu was also treated as equal to Alatreon in Portable 3rd, having a question mark for it's icon. And in Generations it was under the same tier as Alatreon so yeah, there isn't much diff between an "upper tier" like Amatsu and a "black dragon" like Alatreon.

@@stygiandragon3865 also Variants and Deviants are both "Evolutions" upon the base species and thus genetically compatible, while subspecies and rare species are like a different breed altogether and thus genetically incompatible with the base species. At least that's how I understand, so based on that all Deviants are technically Variants (evolution upon the base form) just that Deviants crank that power up to the 11th level.

This guy has MULTIPLE ways to outright 1 shot you out of existence. His title of “Ultimate Malice” is no exaggeration. This guy is the TRUE final boss of Sunbreak.

I feel thematically zinoger works as the two monsters are somewhat opposites. Zinoger co-exist with thunderous, offering them protection. On the other hand Magna feeds on the souls of other monsters who's "flames are doomed to serve".

They introduced the monster I love and gave it crack 10/10 capcom this was by far one of the coolest ways to end another monster

Zinogre always has balls. Dude faced off against amatsu in a cutscene of portable 3rd.

I think this variant is more than just an older, stronger Magnamalo. I think Scorned is an older, stronger Magnamalo that got to chow down on the ultimate prey - an elder dragon, possibly a Kushala or Wind Serpent Ibushi. Note that at least one of his attacks can inflict Dragonblight on you...something that few monsters other than elder dragons can do.

A lot of frontier developers worked on Sunbreak, so that maybe more closer to the truth.

That almost look like a final showdown between a Samurai and the Thunder Warrior

They definitely should've rearranged his theme with way older Japanese instruments and add new one's too to convey how old he is and his manifested anger towards the current world

Imagine me with a medium skill and my ls trying to kill a scorned magnamalo

So apparently I was wrong. This is not necessarily an older Magnamalo. Magnamalos, it turns out, primarily use Hellfire to keep their armor and horns in tip-top shape for when the time comes for them to mate. In particular, females will pick the males with the most splendid set of horns. This armor never grows back after being formed, so a Magnamalo whose horns are broken, whether by a rival or by a Hunter, will never be able to pass on its genes - it is _scorned_ by the rest of its kind. Forever denied the right to mate, Scorned goes on a hunting rampage to drive itself to greater and greater heights of power, and this reckless behavior likely damages its armor further. How it ends if a Hunter doesn't intervene is unknown...

Nah, she would still solo that no maiden cat. If Apex Zinogre which is arguably the strongest Apex monster alongside with Apex Diablos ultimately still loses to Amatsu. Then in no world that a perfectly healthy Allmother would lose to Scorned. Especially at that point of time Narwa is at its most aggressive point of her life cycle, due to ensuring the life of her own offspring.

This would have been cooler if it was a Stygian, because the Stygian's theme is kind of that of the Hell Hound who keeps the punished spirit in hell, meanwhile Magnamalo is like the Onibi, vengeful spirits who fell in violence and persist on the living world. Big missed opportunity I say.

Nessa batalha usaram a versão comum do zinogre contra uma variação mais forte do magnamalo, ou seja não respondeu essa dúvida de quem é mais forte entre o zinogre e magnamalo, pois a batalha que a capcom fez não ficou balanceada, usar uma versão comum de um monstro contra uma versão mais forte de um outro monstro não é uma batalha justa, se fosse o zinogre comum contra o magnamalo comum ai sim responderia essa dúvida de quem é mais forte.

Can't believe they don't classify this variant as A elder dragon. Its literally pissed at everything because it couldn't find a mate because its horn broke. Now it just leaves hellfire everywhere, how is that not environment changing?

It is a variant of an already existing Fanged Wyvern, they can't classify it as Elder Dragon. It is, however, an Elder Dragon Level Monster, just like Magnamalo was before it.

i think its funny how ppl saying omg Zinogre is so cool hes so badass ,,hes like a warrior and dies an heroic death you all know that htis is an "Animal" who have no sense of this stuff only humans do ? Animals dont fight heroic fights nor do they die one and i know i will get a lot of hate for it BUT the Tobi-Kadachi in the Magnamlo intro was Smarter then the Zinogre why ? cause he actet like an Animal trying to avoid a fight he could not win but in the end stood its ground in the last atempt of survival whyle the zinogre picks a fight ,,,gets his butt kicked and insted of realising hes on a lost course still trys again and gets killed yep thats not brave ,,,nor heroic ,,, Nature and Evolution wise ,,,its actually extremly stupid and dumb and would get your spec into extinction if it happens to often Natur is not fighting everythign and everyone you meet its avoiding as many (unnecessary) fights as possible cause thas how you survive in the end but yeah .,,,thats not "cool" enough for so many ppl thats why Dinosaurs ,Monsters or whatever have to roar ,,,fight and kill 24/7 in every movie for like no reason at all XD *let the hate comments beginn *

@CGS クトヒョウ defending your theretoy only makes sense if you at least knwo you can take the animal on or did oyu ever see somethign like a Jacal trys to defend its terretory agaisnt a Monitor lizard ? or a Fox trys to defend its terretory agaisnt a wolf prob not cause these Animals are "smart" and know a fight they cant win also animals on the same liga like Lions vs Hyenas or wolf vs Bears the aniamsl will understand after a certain fight when they loose it they dont be reckless with theyr attacks like shown here with the zinogre

@CGS クトヒョウ only elders are smarter then humans even then we haven’t seen that many example’s of them being smarter very few have shown actual intelligence.

@PsychoGenius クトヒョウ I’m saying actual signs of intelligence like Nakarkos using bones as armor and prey he’s killed as weapons and your example ahtal ka who’s not a elder, fatalis using the armor of foes he’s killed and melts them down to make his scales stronger as well as taking down a country some elders don’t attack on sight unless provoked which does show signs of intelligence and the smartest one to me is chameleos who steals your items as well as Turing himself invisible as an advantage and even had a breath attack in 2nd gen that depleted almost all of your stamina that wouldn’t allow escape.Other then that I don’t see any other elder actually showing signs of intelligence they say safi is intelligent but we haven’t seen any sign of him being intelligent we need to see more elders being smart out side of the fight.

I always imagined Zinogre to be the more competent monsters and wouldn't just half hazardly attack a monster that may well be its downfall. Like how a lone wolf would never challenge a tiger without back up. So it makes me wonder what would've possessed Zinogre to attack even a regular Magnamalo without hesitation. It'd make more sense if it was Thunderlord. Maybe that Zinogre had more experience?
