Many of the songs one encounters in the oral traditions of Kabir bear the signature of Dharamdas or other poets, who were all evidently inspired to compose their own songs as a tribute to Kabir. Dharamdas is the founder of one of the largest Kabir Panth sects and is widely held to be a disciple of Kabir, though he may have lived much after his time.
This poem springs to life in a song embodied in the voice of a very young and handsome Mahesha Ram ji recorded in the year 2003, when we first met with him at the Rupayan centre in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
That Mahesha Ram ji derives the utmost rasa from his music, that he tastes and savours its nectar, is amply evident when he sings. He belongs to Chhatangadh village near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, and represents the folk style of the Meghwal community, who are the traditional carriers of the poetry of many bhakti poets including Kabir, keeping it alive through a powerful oral tradition.

महैशारामजी यह हैली सुनायी ।उस समय आपके चेहरे पर भग्ति का नूर टपक रहा था ।हाँलाकि घर गृहस्ति चलाने के लिए धन की आवश्यकता सभी को रहती है। आजकल में आपके भजनों में पहले जैसा भक्ति नूर नहीं दिखता हैं।बुरा न मानना आप ही गाते है कि का तो तिलडा़ कोरा भला या तेल निकाल दे अथकचरी कूलर भली कोनी वैसे आप मरुधर के मोती हो गम्भीर भाव चेहरै पर रखो जो सुनाते हो थोडा़ बहूत अपने जीवन पर पर ऊतारो वैसे आप स्वँय ज्ञनि हो।

None will be able to differentiate between this tune and Bengali folk tune.This is second one I found unmistakable twin tune. Demands research. At least through tune it is a hint of a clear inter relative picture of Akhand Hindustani folk map. How did this tune traveled from Bengal (specifically from former wet East Bengal) i.e. existing Bangladesh to dry Rajasthan or vice versa?

This voice and music descends from the very ancient folk music that have travelled from generation to generations..It might have same lineage arising from the same point somewhere...I think their deep root lies in the gangetic plains where kabeer was born then disciples spread it all corners of the india..

@@navratanpanwar6956 such types of mystic songs have history which goes down to period before 800 to 1200 years , in all different part of india , during these times mystic songs had started to spread all across india & surrounded regions as well like nepal to bhutan to tibet. Many mystic Master's from those period are life long traveller whole life around & within india & around other country's as well.
