How to make your y/n more likable in my opinion: 1. Don't make them have 999999999999999 billion quirks. Deku gets injuries by having 7 quirks, imagine how that much quirks would be. 2. Don't make them completely flawless. They need to have at least one flaw to be good. Making your character flawless is too much plot armor. 3. Don't make everybody love her or everybody hate her. It is really unrealistic and boring. 4. Don't make one of the character bratty and rude just because they like one of the characters you have a crush on. (example: making ochako a brat because she likes izuku) It's soooooo cringe. Again, this is my opinion. 20 likes for more tips Edit: it's been a year but we hit our goal time for more tips 5. If you wanna make an AU, please mention it. Making an AU without saying so could be really misleading for new fans. 6.Do not make the character a genuinely bad person and try to justify their actions. Making an evil mc is completely ok, as long as you're aware of the fact that what they're doing is wrong. 7. This is basically an addition to number 6 but do not use your character's trauma to justify their actions. "Sorry I killed your whole family and set your house on fire but it's because my grandma died when I was six-" GIRL NO WHAT ARE YOU DOING. 8. Lastly (for now), Do not make your character's emotions unrealistic. Example, do not make your character emotionless one moment and make them have normal emotions in the next. (Yes, I'm coming to u for advice) How does this work? My y/n has a quirk that makes her\him so she can clone other quirks (basically Monoma), but for a longer amount of time She\He has trauma from her childhood, once being bullied because until she\he learned hot to clone quirks, she\he was considered quirkless. Constantly being thrown out, starved, and considered a disgrace to her\his family name, despite her\his parents not even being in the top 5 heros. She\He grew up with the Todorokis since Rei knew Y/N's mom. She\He had a big friendship with Touya, being around his age when season 1 of MHA began. Although, Y/Ns mom and Enji would have Shoto and Y/N fight eachother for more training. But it never effected their accuaintanceship (if thats even a word) when they got older. The only person bratty is Y/N's parents. Or is that too much?-

Y/n is basically a self insert character commonly used in fanfics. You basically replace y/n with your actual name, however, sometimes y/ns can be very stereotypical and annoying.
