We are pretty confident with the what and how. The “why” is somewhat irrelevant as there is no justifying what that pilot did. In my mind the only thing that should still matter is the “where?”

Finished the documentary just now and couldn’t help but stayed stunned through out. Felt emotional, had goosebumps and totally shook by the fact how unfortunate this is. Deeply saddened for the victims’ families who still await their loved ones.

Watch this last night, so many emotions going through me. Cry many times, especially for the French father. My heart broke to see him hold his tears and try to appear strong. Maybe there is different empathy from people outside of Malaysia and Malaysian citizens itself about this tragedy. But me as Malaysian, there's is tremendous guilt and responsibillty i feel in my shoulder. I feel like i owe and failed these family... I pray for the family, and hope one day they will get the answer they deserve, so that they can live in peace again 🙏🏻

I can't believe how fast 9 years have gone by. I was 13 years old at that time, I saw the news that morning when they announced it. It really came to me at that time that they are going to appear sooner or later.. but days become months and 9 years passed. I can't imagine how families, friends, and relatives feel about the unanswered question of what happened to their loved ones. As Malaysian, this tragedy puts a mark on our heart. Just like what happened to MH17... May the family have all the goodness in life and may we finally get the truth someday...

I can't even begin to imagine what the relatives have been through. It's already nerve racking enough to fly but flying and never returning is heart breaking. And that constant state of not knowing what really happened means that those left behind might never stop grieving.

I lost a relative that hit the towers in NYC in 2001 and their body was never recovered due to all the rubble and other unidentified bodies and debris. I sympathise with the relatives of MH370 over this mystery. I hope they one day get answers.

Submarine was intact. This might have been blown up making it very difficult to detect.

As Malaysian, when i first heard about this after class back in uni days, i honestly felt blank. One for not believing this is happening involving our small country, two for being afraid because i was planning to book for a flight ticket around that corner. Even now that 9 years has passed, i still feel like in denial that his happened. Really wish this didnt happen. I was 9 years old when I heard this tragedy. I was in school and we were praying for them. Whenever we go out, there was always people praying for MH370. There were big posters and I used to write “ I hope we can bring them back alive”. As a kid, this incident was deep rooted in my heart… I still feel goosebumps whenever I hear the news about MH370

I firstly wanna give my condolences to all family members who were affected. It’s truly a horrible thing to go through. Personally, I still am heartbroken as if I also lost someone who got on that flight. I just can’t get it through my head that they are gone. The series was done okay. I liked how they included some families of the disappeared, but I agree that I think that the aviation expert deserved more TIME than that Jeff guy. Not that what he was saying wasn’t okay, just that they should have taken the documentary perhaps in a more different direction. Like, I’m okay with the theories. It just opens up a wide range of possibilities. But it still doesn’t give you that puzzle piece where you could be like “Aha!” I wish we got some time to hear the side of the other governments/people involved in the search. Maybe even the Vietnamese airspace while they were awaiting the plane to switch to their communications tower. Maybe of these people who have claimed to see it. Why did they not research what Cindi has found? What if the wing found on shore was a result of the water currents pushing it’s ways over there?? I, like many others have so many questions and deeply sympathize with the families. May God bless you and give you the justice you all deserve.

When Jeff started talking about a "catastrophic fire" onboard that could've potentially wiped out all sensors at the "same time", I really started questioning his credentials of an aviation journalist. That makes zero sense to me in the world of aeronautics

I remember this being one of the most devastating moment, scariest tragedy that has ever happened in Malaysia. Radios, TV shows, news channels, were constantly giving condolences to the families and were on the edge of seats hoping for any good news. I was 18 that time and this moment, killed me inside.

I'm glad this documentary is coming out because this case needs answers for the families involved. It's almost a decade since this tragic incident and our technology is more advanced which can aid in the search for this aircraft. Also, social media is at it's peak which can help in pushing authorities to do something which I hope this does. My heart goes out to all the families! I hope this is one of the steps needed in order to find the answers they are looking for!

Unfortunately this documentary does not give any answers. The plane and the bodies were never found. Who or what caused the plane to disappear is still a mystery.

I still remember when this incident happened, and I have never forgotten about it since then. I have watched every documentary there is on KZread about MH370, something stood out for me. Right from the start there was a lot of miscommunication. Most of the passengers on this plane being from China, it should have taken center stage to question Malaysia about what happened to this Plane. A lot of Possible leads were dismissed and time was lost. The oil rig worker who emailed saying he saw a burning plane in the Sky was supposed to be taken a bit more seriously and focusing on his location as a very good search area. Families need closure.

In the first episode, it is said by someone that days after the disappearance of the plane, one of the passenger's relative received a call to her mobile phone by her father and when she answered, the call was off, how is it possible that she received a call if we assume that the plane fell into the ocean? Otherwise, what if she really did receive a call from her father, could then the plane not have fallen to the ocean but something else happened? Really strange story, i believe that lots of people know what has happened that all the rest of us will never find out...

In the series it was said that a girl missed a call from her father who was on that plane…. So why haven’t they tried investigating where her father was calling from when she missed that call? Only the government put the narrative that Imarsat data is the only thing that they needed, gaslighting people that's there's no other way in checking their path.

I can vividly describe the day after the missing plane went missing, a huge shockwave sent over the entire world because the incident is classified as unprecedented. This Flight will land in the future, with the passengers still the same age. This is a phenomenon that has never happened before. But it will happen for first time.

If you go to KLIA's parking lot today, there's a car still parked left by one of the passengers of that flight. The car has not been towed and the family decided to leave it there as a reminder that the passenger might come back one day.

That sounds very unlikely. Parking lot management would surely have done something about a car that's been abandoned on their premises for 9 years.

Still cannot believe it. I still remember when few years ago this had become such a major incident and so many countries tried to search for months if I am not wrong and did their very best, perhaps tried everything possible to search for it but for some reason, it ended up being one of the most mysterious incidents ever. Insane how everyone ignored the woman who found all that debris in the south China sea, and how everyone ignored the suspicious cargo delivered under escort with no inspection. Indeed the only one person closest to the truth was the reporter Florence. The US military was certainly involved. Then the documentary was more of a fight for who had the correct theory than caring about the families. So much ego involved what a shame.

No. There is no evidence of that call. It's a story of a story. It's a faulty memory of a traumatic day. No one would ask for a strangers opinion on whether they should answer a call from their missing father

The mystery of MH370 has always been in my mind. From time to time, I think "Wait, is there any new progress on MH370?". I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. I hope this documentary will be a huge hit (and I'm sure it will), so it can somehow be a trigger for the truth to come out.

I was 12 yrs old when this happened, can’t believe it’s been 9 yrs, this was always that one tragedy that stuck with me for some reason, I guess it was the curiosity. I hope their families can someday find some closure. :(

Recalling back to when the news about MH370 flight broke out gave me goosebumps. This was all what people were talking abt that time. In school, at home.A tragedy that happened to our neighboring country. I cant imagine what both passengers and their families at home must’ve felt at that time.

BTW I do agree on searching and getting answers. But that is a huge, deep ocean out there and many other airplanes and ships have gone missing over history. Note that I did serve (many years ago) as a radar tech in the US Air Force. We learn to ignore commercial traffic outside our airspace/zone of operations. There are thousands of airplanes in the air at any given time. Even if they saw the blip, it might not be of any consequence without knowing the situation. It is also silly to expect that radar information for every day of every area of the world is recorded. Again, there are thousands of flights going on at any given time all over the world. Unless somebody raises the alert, most of it is routine. Sad but true.

It's crazy that transponders can still be switched off. There needs to be a way to track planes that cannot be turned off inside the plane.

I still remember during that incident I was in Jakarta one of the heartbreak news every day I used to watch the news or hope for any good news to come but until now awkward for their family members

I remember the day I read the article about the plane vanishing. So sad, I can't even imagine the anguish the family members went through and are still going through to this day.

In four hours my wife gets on a plane to Thailand. This is terrible timing.

This plane has Been on my mind lately. Praying for justice

Heart broken…I’ve worked as standby volunteer for this tragedy…It’s a huge pain until today.

I really hope that we get an answer to this mystery in our lifetime. Condolences to the family and friends - they deserve a closure.

Its been 9 years since then and still there is no explanation yet. The members of the family deserve the truth.

What makes me shiver is that someone in this world knows what happened to this plane and he / she deliberately is silent

I still remember the panic and the stories I read back when it happened, and I was 8 years old at the time. Everyday my mother would check what happened and look for updates on what happened to the plane until we eventually just accepted that it won’t be found. Even used to check maps to try and imagine what could’ve happened to the plane. Man can’t believe it’s been 9 years

I was on a cruise ship when the plane disappeared! I was actually in Asia on a cruise. I remember a family member telling me about the plane disappearing with a lot of passengers. I was like whatttt? I said I hope they find the plane! My family member said they will.

till date -- no matter how many videos I watch covering this story, I'll still always remain confused and wondering. what's even scarier is that there might actually be a singular person who knows exactly what happened to those passengers or the plane

i was 9 years old when this happened. i was in the school and suddenly my teachers were talking about mh370. i was shocked, terrified and almost cried cuz i cant even imagine losing someone who's meant a lot to me. but now, its been 9 years since the tragedy and still unsolved mystery but my deepest condolences to all the people whom affected by it

I watched that one not too long ago myself and I thought they did very well with that documentary. I feel horrible for the families left behind with no answers, nothing but b.s., false theories and straight up lies. Almost no one will ever understand how frustrated and heartbroken all the families and the friends must be: 9 years of hell and yet almost nothing. Hell, if I were them, I wouldn't trust the Malaysian governmant as far as I could throw them!!! Christ!!! What really sucks is that I don't think we'll ever find out the whole truth...

This particular case is eerie as well as frightening. My condolences to all the victim's families. Their loved ones will never be seen again. Somehow proper justice should be served, no matter how long it takes.

I will say this, if you’re the kind of person that gets mad when someone doesn’t believe the official story and thinks that everything else is just crazy theories, this documentary isn’t for you as it explores other possibilities and doesn’t draw conclusions on either of them (including the official story). Personally I prefer a documentary like this one where they just lay out the theories and let the viewer decide what to believe.

I will never forget about this tragedy. I remembered me and my family on our vacation day watched the news on television and we were so shocked and sympathies for the families involved. Never that we could imagine, that was our last vacation with my dad just few weeks after the tragedy, he passed away due to car accident.

9 years ago when I was almost 9 years old, still a mystery, I still wonder what could have happened to those people?

I have watched a lot of air crash investigation cases on TV and I find it odd that the American aviation investigators did not get involved in this given that finding the plane is significant not just for the families but for aviation safety in general

In this documentary it was shown that one of the children received a call from her dad but missed to receive it . I was wondering if they couldn't trace the location of the cell phone ? It's so sad and strange how so many people just vanished from the face of the earth without even leaving a trace to let us know if they're really dead. I meant at least one dead body or their demand could have been discovered. I don't think there is any bigger pain than this for anyone to not know if our loved ones are really dead or alive . The answered question will be like a ghost haunting your peace.

In the documentary they also said they have no technology to trace the phone call back. I honestly can't imagine that.

when they said " someone knows the answer, the question is who ?" i got goosebumps and a chill down my spin.

I’m in flight school and not a day goes by where I don’t think about this. It still raises my hair the way it did when I learnt about it the day of. So scary.

Just finished watching this documentary, it was abselutely phenominal! The ammount of thought, interviews, investigation and theories that were portraited were massive. It was very enjoyable and eerie to watch. Highly recommend it!

I still remember the exact place, time, and what I was doing when I heard the news. I was playing with my friends in our dorm. As we heard the news, we were so shocked, our hearts felt so heavy, sad, and somewhat disbelief. What a horrible experience for the next few days. Yes, I came home and saw it on the TV news late afternoon in Australia. This mystery used to keep me awake at night wondering for many nights in 2014 and some since.. and here we are nine years later.. I am glad Netflix made this doco even though so many have been made already. I am proud of my county’s efforts in helping the search. Hopefully and I do pray that one day we may have answers. x

I remember i was in kindergarten when this happens and our tcr asked us to draw a picture of the plane and write our deepest condolences for the families 😔

I was obsessed with this story for years.

As a Malaysian , it's really scary to know these mysterious things can happen to anybody out of the blue. Up till now there's still no prove to what happened. I still pray everybody gets some proper closure.

I was never able to forget about this, mainly due to the fact no one received closure...'no-one' as in mainly the passenger's families. I put myself in their place (the families) and wonder how I would have felt if someone close to me had flown and vanished without a trace...and to this day I would have not received a proper, definite update on their whereabouts. I don't want to know what that's like, to be wondering forever, what happened...where are they, are they safe, are they alive...why did this happen? So many questions, and no answers...and the rest of the world just moved on, except me! 😶

Unless it's some abduction from aliens, traveling over the Bermuda Triangle, or something that cannot be explained. lol. Other than that...super shady and where are all those people?? 9 years??? it's been 9 YEARS?? GOOD LORD... it feels like yesterday. i remember watching everything on the news as clear as day. till today whenever i fly, i think what if we are next to disappear. They might not bring them back but at least provide the truth. The victims and their family deserves it. I wonder if anyone alive actually knows what had happened but was silenced.

i was at home, cooking with my sister while watching some drama. TV3 aired breaking news about the plane. That news shocked us and my tears fall down. I know no one onboard, never been on airplane but damn that moment hit right. I dont remember what drama or what dish im cooking but i still remember my feeling at that time. As a Malaysian,i feel terrible ashamed that this become something people remember about our country. Condolences to everyone who was affected

The plane either takes off or lands, it won't disappear. Somebody knows what exactly happened to that plane, and speaks nothing. I don't know how that person is living with all that truth in their heart. It scares me whenever I get into the plane and fly towards my home.

A man lost his wife, his 17 year old boy and his 13 year old daughter!!! For me, what's really astonishing in this case is the part where the plane vanishes, I mean, what must be done for it to disappear. There's a few things you must do for the airplane not to be seen on radar. You must turn off a few buttons in the cockpit, like the transponder for example AND (this part surprised me) you must go in the cargo compartment of the aircraft, switch off something there and it's not even taught during the training of a pilot. To go in the cargo of a Boeing 777, you must come out of the cockpit, go down the aisle where all the passengers are seated and on the floor, there's a hatch that opens up. You have to go down there using a ladder, switch off "something" and this was done in a matter of 2 minutes!! That part blew my mind away. I'm not saying it's the pilot but in order to do this, you have to be in the cockpit and in the cargo of the plane so some people knew what they were doing! All of this was done in a matter of 2 minutes!!! On the radio, the captain says "Goodnight" and 2 minutes after, "Abracadabra"! There's something very wrong here!

Yes, from the cockpit you can disable: ADS-B, TCAS, and SATCOM. But what they missed was turning off the S-Band Antenna that would send ping messages up to the Satellite for best antenna alignment as the plane moved along it's flight path. That is how the search along the ocean off the coast of Australia was possible - using math based on doppler shift of the signal received by the Satellite to create a search map.

I remember there was this one malaysian girl who missed this flight, as she was 3-4 minutes late before the departure. When she knows what happened, she feel sad and lucky at the same time

I still remember writing abt this and telling my class as a fact back in 2014 during my GK class. I'm actually watching this documentary now and I have to say it is just full of scenes that has the only purpose of making the atmosphere scary and mystery, but it talks so little about the facts and analysis, at least up until the part I've been watching. If you start watching this documentary, what you hear for the first 30 minutes is just stories of the passengers' families like why they were headed to China or how news media covered the event, and nothing about the event itself. As much as I feel sorry for everyone involved in this accident, the purpose of the documentary should be more focused on analysing the causes and results of the event, not just telling random stories that happened around that time. I think this is why people are transitioning to KZread platform.
