He is a strong player, but he was playing with old-style equipment only, meaning no energy wall and no autowormholes. The purpose of this video was to show that playing with all toys as I did here makes everything too easy and less of a challenge. I told him before the start of this match that I was going to use this and we played in a friendly pvp fashion, that's why I killed myself at the end even if I didn't get any chance by him.

@@ant_adlibs Not just that, they also remove the marker on you if you dive out of them. Boxes are really useful for walking through mines as they'll take the brunt of the blast.

Playing with controller vs K&M is a whole different experience. I like to play with both, K&M is to be more effective, with controller I feel like I am dancing through the scenery. Thanks for your comment 😌! If you come to PC we would play some matches

sometimes i just miss the old days where it wasnt as intense and unfun for low levels and there were no energy walls or wormholes to get a person out of trouble and the worst of all Quiet 💀 still great vid also got a question im not really a pvp guy anymore i just like to do no traces run on fob's but still want to defend my fobs incase something happens and since i dont have all the 11 gear that you need, is the fulten luncher still good against those pesky quiet energy wall players?

Yes, that is stuff!!! Finally you started to play more aggressively. I 👍it!! But can you just as well play purely from damage weapons (without sleepy underbarrel modifiers on rifles). And on the second slot only a lethal revolver or a pistol with an electroprosthesis (without HoJ)

I wonder how this would look with both players performance enhancing gear using gear. Might be fun in a way, cartoonish. But I would imagine the defender would have the easiest W of their life.

Depending on how used is the defender to play with all of it :D. The purpose of this video is only to show the differences between modern style vs old style, and to evidence the huge handicap is to play old style. All toys are just OP and more likely to make the user dependant on those, ergo, make weak players in terms of full action lethal PvPs

I recently was ravaged by someone who ran circles around me. I was hitting him with everything i had and was confused why he wasn't going down from a level 7 stun shotgun. While struggling defending my base i noticed the invader had some type of spark surrounding him and he had a teleport wormhole device. The devs should've put a timer on the energy wall and allow players to destroy the wormhole devices because this is killing lower mid to low level players.

Is a matter of taste, some players like going full lethal and other like ghosting instead. Sadly the game was not properly programmed for stealth PvPs, so people started going Rambo mode, which is fun because the mechanics in the game make it interesting and exciting, like Football + Dodgeball for introverts

I think gr 7 shield and gr 10 awh is just op already for both attack and defence.... (well dealing wotj cheaters, then no choice but use highest level of awh and shield aside of fulton launcher)

Energy Wall is OP in any situation, the only mistake you can make with it is using HoJ while the bubble is still active, because it backfires the HoJ effect on you. Autowormholes are a double edged sword, because you lose control of it usage but you will be safe against everything but Fulton Launcher. Anyway, the purpose if this video is just to prove that all these fancy toys are just too OP and relying on them makes a player a weak one. If you use them as a choice but not as a need you will perform flawlessly

I played somebody like this and I downed them with a grenade launcher and shot him bout 10 times with it when he was down from point blank range and he still got up usually only takes a couple, and he had stealth camo, he was intruder wondering if it’s a hacker

The only thing that sounds suspicious there is the stealth camo if the player you mention was not using Quiet. The lethal grenade launcher is practically useless against Grade 11 sneaking suits, to make damage in this case you must spam a lot of rounds to the player, or simply start using a sniper rifle instead to make a sure headshot

it's kinda sad to see the community fighting over play styles over and over again, and players calling each others cheaters for certain play styles. I've played mgsv on pc for around 3 years, and i played it before on ps4. I've tried every style possible, mainly out of boredom, but i used to ghost to have a chance against powerful grade 11 bases and get staff. used snake with auto wh without the ew because i was new to pvp and didnt want matches to end quickly cause of rookie mistakes, and later developed EW to counter EW users when used against me, and later when i was more confident in my abilities switched to old style. all styles have weaknesses and strengths, and a lot of players abuse auto wh and EW and the op stun launcher, i know this fuss is mainly with silver, but i dont think he's doing anything wrong, since he uses items and stuff that everyone can use at his level or grade level in the game. you also have to keep in mind that he usually fights hackers and cheaters and his playstyle (quiet with ew and auto wh) is the only legit way to almost have equal grounds with these cheaters during pvp. both the old and new style have different strategies in placement of wh for example, but still both can be beatable. right now im not playing as much as i used to, i usually stick to the old style in defending, and switch occasionally in offense for fun, although have been using old style more out of respect to players i know arent cheaters or like to play in this style. it's just a game, no need for players to go out of their way and keep fighting in each others profile comments like that, it can be so childish. no one needs to force anyone to play a certain way as long as its legit. it can be unfair but still it's more of a konami fucked up situation more than anything

I'd also like to add that old style does take more skill to master, since the player is 99% of the cases done if they mess up, but that doesnt mean whoever uses autos and EW isn't a good player or less skillful than the former

Damn, this is longer than my degree thesis. There are different perspectives on how to enjoy the game. I stick to the one that actually matters: Enjoy the game techincally on it's full potential, creating a challenge of it. The other point of view is a waste of time: Holding nukes to achieve a high PF Rank is useless, hackers are everywhere and ALREADY BROKEN ESPIONAGE AND PF RANKING, with no Konami support at all make it a dead end goal. That being said, caring a lot about getting a lot of points on each infiltration (whatever style you choose), holding nukes to not being attacked AND ASK WITH TEARS IN THE EYES TO FRIENDS TO BLOCKADE YOUR BASE, focusing only on boring core rush tactics to have easy wins (easy wins on a dead game XD, common... IRL it has more purpose to have easy wins coz there actually matter)... all that is just insane, a waste of time, useless and only cheap satisfaction friendly behaviour. I agree that it's 100% Konami's fault. Now, about the need on relying on toys to defeat cheaters HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. Cheaters are mostly noobs pretty easy to win even with complete old style handicap ;)

​ @M.A.X (looks like you deleted the comment about players always discussig about the syles, here is my answer) I don't even read both players discussions about it, just bla bla and mixing things that have nothing to do with the topic itself, talking about money and moral stuff 🤣🤣As you say is best to try all styles, that's why I am starting to play modern style more often as a secondary style from now on, ideally with players that I have contact with so they know beforehand my intentions, having fun and no easy wins. I already won the lethal old style tournament, I have nothing else to proof from that angle. And about ghosting... maybe I should give it a try again. Cheers!

Electricity is an effect that enemy UAV have on your character in order to kill your batteries, meaning, you can't use NVGs nor Bionic arm. You solve that destroying the near UAVs. About fast running is an bionic arm upgrade you can get in development menu on ACC

Quiet + Energy Walls + Autowormholes + auto aim + reflex mode = training wheels

Man, I love this game, but I just couldn’t care less for the FOB stuff, apart from having more soldieres available. I just wish there was a way to have FOBs but not be apart of the scene where I can have my shit stolen. I just don’t get the appeal when MG is first and foremost a stealth action game, but it seems like the meta of FOB is who can hit the stun first and little to nothing about stealth. I have no clue what you were even doing, like why did y’all keep going into boxes at seemingly random times?

It’s Konami’s fault, they broke the game when they introduced the ability to mark the other player with the stun damage (except for the hand stun grenade), so people started going full lethal taking advantage of the great mechanics of this game. Don’t see this as a Metal Gear game, and you may enjoy lt. About the box, we do that to get rid of the mark we may eventually have above the character head
