Literally, as said in the trailer. Finally the weapon to surpass metal gear exists.

This is the greatest mecha anime I've seen

Soldier: “Boss, your rear, it’s incredibly bloody!” Venom: “Sahelanthropus…. Went at it for a while” Soldier: “really? And you survived!” Venom: “yeah, I was bent over the entire time too, won’t believe what it did to my back…” Soldier: “good god!” Venom: “I had my shield on my back though, helped me take his biggest loads” Soldier: -proceeds to percussively vomit- Venom: “… they jus don’t make ‘em like they used to…”

Wdym? Sahelanthropus is designed well, a good amount of defense and great offense, if you're talking about the movements that would be Eli's and Tretij Rebenok's doing

@@killersol8251 The archaea sword is a cool weapon, but the rockets are laughably easy to avoid even when compared to the AI weapons from Peace Walker. And the defense is pretty terrible for a weapon its size.

I've had it happen enough times while fighting him on foot. When Sahelanthropus stays quiet off-screen for too long, it's bound to happen "any second." What I hate is when you fight him on Extreme, and you hit it at just the right angle that it kills you - that loud "SNAP" when Snake dies, it's always painful to hear through a good set of headphones.

The Iron Giant sequel looks good. Tenouttaten.

that the saleanthropus ist about 10 times as advandced as metal gear rex but was developed 20 years before rex is the biggest plot hole ever.

Not really since Rex is more advanced and practical. One kick from rex would snap this thing in half. It can't even move without a psychic child controlling it. The cockpit can only fit a child. Its armor is laughable and its arms are deadweight. In every single right it represents how much of a hack huey was. The thing is a glorified mantle piece that skull face used to incite a possible nuclear war. But in the end it gets taken out way easier than rex was.

Sahelanthropus was a mere prototype, and not finished when you fight it. I haven't played anything other than mgsv and pw, (planning to play the others!) but from what other people are saying I presume Rex was much more advanced than Sally.

Yeah

Nuke launch capable? Large target All terrain legs? Cannot take down a support chopper immediately. Can be defeated by a guy without his right eye. Can be taken down by walker gears. Could be destroyed with appropriate military force.

@Toño Rios he was a field medic with many years of experience. A field medic also just isn't a medic, they're highly trained to work in war zones and work under gunfire and stuff. He was also working with Big Boss personally. He was stated to be one of their strongest soldiers even before he became Venom. He was just some soldier, dude's one of the best in the world. And then after he became venom he got all of Big Boss' experience.

You can do some pretty sick maneuvers with the Walker.

Legendary driving skill!

But what about the, Metallic Archaea? It’ll rust D-Walker in seconds.

Joseph Barnes Late comment but, It wont get rusted if you actually stayed on the move. I did that and fucked up the skull in minutes. Other possibility your ai keeps clouding

You do get to extract it to mother base but can't use it

First time on this mission I was with D-Dog - I pissed myself. Tried my best to piss off as far as I could because I don't want my doggie to get hurt, then found that Russian tank. Kited the bastard as long as I could and then managed to kill him with the cannon.

Probably because you can't hold as much ammo. Maybe you can't lock onto Sahelanthropus, I haven't tried though.

Those ATGMs are pretty bad. I once emptied my entire reserve (Top grade,12 missiles) onto the same enemy gunship (high tier red version gunship) and couldn't even bring it down.

I can't even s rank the extreme version but how tf you mak it seem so easy

Manned RAY takes this one handily. Sally gets hurt by a small-caliber minigun, so the Vulcans from RAY would easily tear it to pieces. Bringing in the hydro cutter would just be unfair. It's even possible that RAY and its exotic organic-like composition might even have some degree of immunity to the metallic archaea. But even if not, I could see RAY just easily hopping away from the affected area.

​@@mr.spider6859Manned Ray is stated to have the same armor, proportions and dimensions of the unmanned one. The only real difference is the tail Rusted and worn out Rex defeated Ray in 2 minutes. And the first could not even take 30 small missiles before getting destroyed by two guys. So 5 people with rocket launchers could annihilate Rex in again 2 minutes. On the other hand Sahelanthropus destroyed multiple mechanized units wothout any problem Snake and Diamond Dogs beat Psycho Mantis and not directly Sahelanthropus. In particular Big Boss defeated him because he and the floating boy shared a special psychic bond. Venom's awakening was characterized by strong anger, which was perceived by Tretij Rebenok. This emotion worked as a spark which unlocked his true potential None of this does make sense. But from what we see in games maybe only Peace Walker could take on Sahelanthropus, if it doesn't use metallic archea

Wow that's a waste of time with d walker, might as well rocket spam normally and end it in two minutes.

Too bad even the Extreme Sahelanthropus is easy
