My biggest concern with Delta is if you defeat a boss with tranq weapons to get their camo, when you walk over the box to pick it up, a $6.99 micro-transaction screen pops up

Similar to the Silent Hill HD collection, there may be voice acting rights issues that don't permit them to reuse voices from the previous games. So some roles may have been re-voiced. Obviously, David is back, which will probably be the biggest get for most fans. With any luck, re-voiced roles will be minor.

Will be curious if they ripped all of Kojimas mentions out of this game

"Remastered" is a term for touching up the original game, which is what the HD Collection was. "Remake" is a term for rebuilding the game from scratch, without any of the original's source code, which is what Delta is.

@@M.sami12 Yes, but if you reshot a film, even if with the same actors and the same script, even if you were trying to recreate the original directors shots, it would still be a remake. A remaster would be taking the original film negative and doing touch ups and post processing... maybe rescanning the film un a higher resolution for a blu ray, even replacing some of the shots with redone visual effects, but it would still be the same film. With a remake, it doesn't matter if you're using the same script, actors, storyboards, even if you're inserting some preexisting vfx or stick footage that was used in the original, you're not touching up the original, it's being remade.

It isn't a remaster because it doesn't use the existing game and its assets upscaled from its original. But a remake is built from the ground up, just like MGS3 ∆.

I think maybe a random thing. I agree 1 to 1 is probably a good thing. However, I would like to see that mini dealing with the monkeys game in the older Snake Eater versions of the game. I would like to see that if it were possible. If not no big deal really.

Calling this a remaster is factually wrong lol. The assets were remade from the ground up using the old as references to make it accurately not as a base. Snake can aim from any direction on the ground and many other features brought from MGS5. A "remaster" is when you upscale the game to 4k add quality of life features and call it a day (The master collection). Calling this a remaster is a straight up insult.😂

This is reminds me of the Nier Replicant remake/remaster where the game was 99% the same, and Toylogic/SE added very few significant new content.

Talk about bad take about Eva not needing to be hot, she's literally a spy who uses her sexuality to complete her missions. wonder if Bawk ever payed attention to the story.

I think if this sells (which I mean… come on… greatest MG game ever is getting a remake and the fans are starving for nearly a decade now), hold off on an MGS1 or 2 remake. We need a proper release of MG and MG2: solid snake. Those games are 33+ years old now. They’re literally my age. They DESERVE a proper global showcase for the new generation. Which by now is 2+ generations in lol.

The reason why the characters look so weird or ugly when they do the facial scans is because it’s usually the devs that uglyfy them on purpose especially with female characters nowadays!

It is clearly a remaster even some animations remain unchanged. Not complaining though MGS3 doesn't need a remake anyways.

16:50 - 19:30 Oh, I get what he is saying about "remake" and "remaster" People blur the lines too much or dont exactly differentiate between the two. My definition of a remake is sticking with the original content and adding more to its story and gameplay like Resident Evil 1, re1 is a perfect example, except the endings. Problem with these remakes you see... remakes like re2, re3, and re4, that doesn't stick to the script. Remaster stays true to the core and adds new graphics and somewhat better things for gameplay, if possible. Quality of life things, like a lock on button to Resident Evil 1 original when it didn't have a lock on. The problem is that no one is making good remakes or remasters to those definitions.

To add to that, games like Crash, Spyro, and Medievil. Do you list them as remakes or remasters? I would say remasters. Nothin really got changed, and everything looks better. But they would say remakes. So... 🤷🏽‍♂️

"Modern Audiences" are 2 two words you don't want to hear in this day and age. It's a straight up red flag.

it is a remake. a remaster would not completely overhaul the models and they would not be able to get the level of detail on the characters. the easiest way to explain this is the remakes and remasters of Yakuza. the kiwami games are remakes built from the ground up with a new engine updated combat system keeping every story element from the originals. the remasters use the old engine and models simply updating the resolution and model art the main thing you can see in yakuza is to compare Kiryu's sideburns in kiwami to his sideburns in 3 remaster. the model art is being pasted over the same model rigging from the original game. the easiest example of this is Final fantasy type-0 for the ps4 the background debris is very square and blocky the characters clothing is very flat and one dimensional despite being multiple layers with buckles and accessories everywhere. Final fantasy 7 remake is neither a remake or remaster it is completely different game that uses the characters and setting of ff7 and a deceptive title in order to drive sales while being a new game.

(In My Opinion) Too faithful: Remaster. Too different: Not good enough. Remasters: polish what is in the game. Remakes: take the original idea and build it from the ground up. Reboots: take an original idea and do something new with it. I feel that people nowadays lost meaning of what a remakes stands for. Developers should save the risks for new installments and keep the faithfulness for the remakes.

This has more in common with something like the Metroid Prime Remaster than it does with a full remake like RE2/RE4 remake or FF7 Remake.

ITS a Remake, ITS not diificult to understand. Remake completley New technoligy.. Re master enhancd the old graphics. Reimagening Story different es different setting and so on. Example RE4 Remake is a REMAKE with a Bit reimagening. Demons Souls is Just a Remake. All HD collections are remastetd Games. This game is a REMAKE ☝️

it was hurting his throat so he had to change it post-MGS1. but yea MGS1 was the best. he had the most attitude too, like when he first met meryl and was calling her a rookie. then we got "recooiiiiiiiaaaaalll"
