It didn't always come, this is an edit of two songs. The loud one with the guitar and "scream" effect happened randomly. I think it happened on harder difficulties or near death alerts.

It should rather be called Realistic than European Extreme. Very limited ammunition, being discovered while on a stealth mission means mission failure, enemies guarding scientists developing nuclear-equipped tanks have anti-tranquilizing training and use their eyes and ears to detect you, doing exhausting things actually exhaust you, bosses trained by and/or working alongside The Boss herself is harder to kill than usual bosses, etc... The list goes on. Everything that makes European Extreme so extreme is that it is realistic. Besides, the MGS series is stealth-genre, not a FPS-shooter game or such. European Extreme makes not using stealth virtually impossible, thus being realistic. Just a thought.

For example, one of the dudes from the MGS series survives the events of MGS4, invents some kind of revival medicine that also makes the clone that it's used on young and that can only be used on clones of humans. Then the dude uses it on Snake and then Snake starts with new missions :P

I really want to play this again! fighting Cobra Unit and that survivalist feel to it it was a great game and even better story.

How much i loved going on rampages in MGS3, in MGS4 and MGS2 it just doesn't feel right.... MGS4 you'll die pretty damn quick, MGS2, if your hit you'll go flying backwards. Claymores + TNT FTW

Yeah, I think I miss something here. That 2D games are called Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, which also included inside MGS3. Hope this will clear things up. :)

This... Is just awesome! I always loved the MGS3 Alert theme. :D But does anyone actually know how, or what defines getting the different alert themes? Of all the times and ways I played through MGS3 I have never heard the 4th verse.

Oh, and I got Stealth equipment. Makes European Extreme much easier if you cant be bothered with proper stealth.

Not that Ive used it more than once, I tested it after I got it in Virtous Mission and thats it. I got camo suits so :P

I always play this in TSNE in MGO because it makes the battle so much more epic. :D MGS3 = best

Actually I agree, I feel raiden did look cool on Mgs4, but I still feel he is like the overdramatic person that he was back in MGS2, and I feel he is a support character at most.

I have never heard the ending of this song. By then either there was a suspicous cardboard box somewhere, I had hidden with Camoflauge, or the guards where all dead.

Because... 1960s Cold War theme James Bond references Cheesy humour Great codec/radio conversations Various environments (jungle, cave, mountain, military base, indoors) Survival-based gameplay Unique boss fights (The End / The Sorrow) A storyline with plot twists, yet isn't convuluted. I can appreciate differences in opinion, but MGS3 is a masterpiece....
