MGB Roadster is a treasure from United Kingdom

The MGB Roadster was a British two-seat open-top sports car in the 1960s. By the time it was discontinued in the 1980s, its output exceeded 500,000 units. By the early 1990s, the Rover Group took over the MG brand and continued production. However, in terms of the most original MGB, it was produced in the 1960s to 1980s. What Sir Long and Edmond Lau are test driving this time is a 1977 MGB Roadster. Judging from the appearance of the car, the MGB in the 1970s should have used vinyl bumpers (at that time, MGB was to be imported to the United States for sale and had to be abandoned due to local crash laws. Chrome-plated bumper bars were used), and the car owner returned to grid-plated products, which have a more beautiful appearance. This also shows that the MGB car series is still a very popular model in the antique car market. In Europe and the United States, there are many MGB experts and the parts supply is not too short. Therefore, in today's antique car market, the MGB Roadster is considered a good entry-level roadster. Sir Long and Edmond Lau immediately smiled as soon as they tried the car. This MGB Roadster uses a 1,800c.c. four-cylinder OHV engine with a British SU carburetor. In addition to its light body, the front suspension uses double rockers and the rear suspension uses leaf springs. , they did not expect that the engine performance of this 1977 MGB Roadster was so calm and full of power. In addition, the suspension layout was exactly the ancient design. Although the speed was not very fast, the dynamics of the MGB Roadster were extremely interesting.     4AT 有OD 按鈕不是用於上斜加力而是用於平路高速巡航時降低引擎RPM而不失速度,俗稱‘’超比波‘’。 而有AT上Hold制是用於‘’上斜‘’或下斜時不許跳至4波而出現‘’乏力‘’或”多用腳brake‘’。現代的自動波設計變得聰明去到8AT,不會再用Hold制了。

    MGB英国在开的还有很多 之前在伦敦的住处 车库里一直有一台非常精神的MGB coupe 感谢龙sir这么细致的对化油器的讲解 中文媒体里应该是硕果仅存的存在

    見到有人試MGB 好有同感 我用了1979 MGB roadster 足二十年 近乎日日楂 在香港 及後帶了來澳洲 都是日日enjoy 完全無厭 可能是全球用得最多的MGB 但 六零年代設計的英國車要今時今日 日日用機乎不可能 要好容忍及耐性對佢 Anything can breakdown in this MGB 但我有信心繼續用多二十年 Long Live MGB!!

    半架車都係mini cooper零件,成個頭 頭冚機器化油器唔駛講、頭燈、頭尾虎牙泵地、錶板、座椅、頭燈、成幅門及手窗較,電製,冷風製……數之不盡。龍Sir講葉問、錢華、贊先生這段才可笑。😂相信好多年輕觀眾不知道贊先生是誰?

    對呀,Hiace的葉片扣都是在後方,車身roll是會引致車尾先行的,不過後來的車多數加了防傾桿(anti roll bar)車尾就冇走得咁誇張。😊

    當時輪胎闊度只約155,加上短軸距,後驅掟彎往往轉向太足。是的,70年代末時我行龍翔道揸Capri1.6和第二代Corolla後suspension 用leaf springs,高速過弯都是扭回扭回式控軚。

    ​​@sir167 謝謝你說出轉向過足原理,當年我完全不知後硬軸葉片彈簧受壓後一邊輪會稍退後造成少許類似“toe out”现象.我表哥在九龍城近東頭村開車房,我剛考獲車牌希望多操練駕駛,他常說用幾佰收購客戶唔要的舊車,借俾我揸,也揸過60年代TR4,但叮嚀要扭/回式過弯,弯前一定收慢,弯中至出弯俾油。TR4後來賣俾邵氐收約仟四元拍戲掟落山燒毀了。我不懂整車,有本70年代出版的AA Book of The Car,及懂修理纺織厰各種機械,60年代恆星齒和CVT設計要求線性變速(得出constant surface speed)早已出現於英國,德國和瑞士紡紗機上。

    龍sir 請教一下,variable choke可吾可以理解為直拉化油器,constant choke 理解為負壓膜化油器?因為電單車的化油器主要是分直拉和負壓膜的,直拉的在2沖引擎比較多

    剛好相反,直拉是constant choke,負壓膜是variable choke,其實睇外型都睇分得到,variable choke外型像個樽仔,裡面是個真空室,有塊膜受壓力差上下活動拉起油針放油出來。

    化油器好鬼煩,架車日日用會震,攪到螺絲彈弓位久唔久會移位,最好自己學吓怎調較,這亦是車死火原因之一,否則下下都拎去車房攪,破財破費。

    @@tszwangvideo SU化油器很耐用,但如果年份太老咪數太高,真空杯和中間的油壓芯都已經老化漏氣漏油就冇得搞了,最好買座新的,不難找,也不貴。
