The whole review started off so positive that the broken backpack hurt me physically. Neverthelss, another great review from the Egg himself.

Even with all it's weird quirks I think After War Gundam X has to be my favorite AU Gundam series. The mecha designs were so cool and out there and I got really attached to the main cast. I also think Jamil actually may be my favorite mentor character in any Gundam series he's awesome. Great review as always im glad to hear that you enjoyed this kit about as much as I enjoyed the MG Double X :)

I liked Gundam X, the reduced episode count was felt around the part where Garrod went to space but it came around for a strong and memorable conclusion. I love what the show had to say about Newtypes, I find it a lot more interesting than how Unicorn handled them. Yes, Jamil was a very fantastic character! I liked Ennil and the role she had also. Thanks! Yes, this kit was a ton of fun (breaking it aside) and I'd assume the Double X is just as good!

@@EggkFarm I agree with basically everything you said if I'm being honest. Despite the lower episode count I was satisfied with the ending, I liked how they handled newtypes in X better than in Unicorn for sure, and Ennil was a great character. Wish X got more love but people like to dunk on some of the more out there newtype stuff in the show so it is what it is. It's unfortunate you broke it I'd be in shambles. I managed to keep my Double X backpack intact but im sure it's only because I rarely touch my kits after posing em once. And yeah the Double X is fantastic but suffers from the same problems as the GX I'd say but the looks make it all worth the trouble!

@@YohanJPark The way Gundam X is talked about lead me to believe it wouldn't have a real ending so I was relieved when it had one of the most memorable and satisfiying in the franchise. I like the newtype quirky stuff in X, I was so hyped when Tiffa used her mind to activate computers on the moon to send a beam down to Gundam. That is the 90's Anime stuff I want to see! I think X took newtypes to their logical end. Unicorn on the other hand, I liked the cinematic spectical and overall production of the show but the story I try my best to not think about. Atleast it gave us some cool scenes (and Marida). It was so sad to break it! The most I handle my kits is in these videos and of course it broke right as I went to film the last few clips. This is why I'll likely never review the RG Zeta and MG Nu Ver. Ka. It's too risky! So keep that Double X on the shelf haha.

I'm just gonna say it: Without After War Gundam X, we wouldn't have Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. I'm serious. This was the first AU show to adopt the "UC but..." approach, which SEED would go on to both use and popularise.

Thanks! It's just the normal decals with this kit. Luckily they look pretty decent on the white plastic.

I also broke that connector and the two thin grey pieces that connect the reflectors i saw that it's the most common issue of the kit, but i have an idea how to fix them, hope it works 😅

Mine's still in my backlog, so thanks for letting us know about that fragile backpack connection. Also what is up with Bandai barely reprinting this? Out of 4 local hobby shops near me, 2 out of 4 had ONE each, so I grabbed one immediately.

I don't want anyone else to experience the horror of snapping that piece. I know right! I don't understand why the Double X has been so available this whole time but this one, even after being reprinted, is still hard to get. There's just one small hobby shop here and I couldn't believe that they got this kit in.
